12/28/2005 1:02:19 PM
waitlists are dropped tomorrow

You all have it right. With waitlists going away, any open seats are available on a first come, first serve basis.

you are all so smart!yes, Pack Tracks is closed until Jan 3rd. this is supposed to help with the onslaught of students that have to be reinstated. this way no one can take their seat before the error can be fixed.

What about scholarship money? My bill is paid except for expected scholarship money, but i have no clue when that will come in, when do they drop my schedule for that? I think they give more leeway for that, but they clearly won't let it stand forever.

last semester it took a while for my scholarship to make it through the system. just go talk to an advisor. if they still have you down for the scholarship then don't worry.

look you are all missing the pointyou can sign up for one classmake sure you pay for those 3 hoursnot lose your scheduleafter january 3 check tracs like a bitch and get the classes you need, you gotta watch it for like tops 2 days but if you do you can usually get exactly the schedule you wantonce you add more than the original 3 hours you get a billed later for the additional hours but long as you paid for the first 3 hours you are good, they dont drop your one class you signed up and paid for and you can pay the other shit laterits that easy

waitlists are dropped close to the semester because there becomes a point where it is not practical to "wait" anymore for a class to open up. Students need to get classes, be in places, not wait for them in order to have a complete schedule. From what Firgrl23 is saying it sounds like that even though the waitlists and schedules of non payers will be dropped today, that the system will not open for students to take those seats until January 3rd. Is that right, Nicole? Just trying to make sure everyone understands how to jump back into the system to get classes.

right, Pack Tracks will not be open again for registration until January 3rd. you cannot add, drop, change, etc. online until then.this way students can't jump into a seat that someone was just dropped out of due to nonpay. this is because there is a long history of students being dropped incorrectly by the cashier's office and then we have to override the student into a class that is now full because someone took their seat.ps: wolfeee i am out sick. if you need something call kelly.
