If I could find a good source of DOM around here, I would consider fabbing my own cage. I don't have as much access to a bender anymore either.'preciate it so far, fellas.Kirk has it for 610 dolla.[Edited on December 27, 2005 at 6:27 PM. Reason : more stuff...]

fuck it, just use some nice exhaust tubing.haha
12/27/2005 6:30:37 PM
Don't laugh. I have seen it done.I'm just glad it wasn't MY car.

610 is resonable considering material cost. believe it or not carolina rock shop in charlotte has been doing alot of cages recently for pretty cheap money.

they added onto my stock cage for 450 bux ab 2-3 yrs ago. two bars to the floor in the front, one across the top, two spreaders on the top, and one that connected the two rear bars across the top. andy is a good guy

autopower
12/27/2005 9:10:47 PM
Brian...are the Autopower ones better than the Kirk ones? About 140 bux difference in price...
12/27/2005 9:32:25 PM
I dunno much about import stuff but have you checked Summit or Jegs? I know the muscle car stuff was getting pretty cheap around 4-500 bucks

you gonna get a bolt in?most of the bolt in ones you can just get the rear bar, and add more on whenever you want.well, same with the welded ones too.but if you are stripping the whole interior, weld that SOB in and use that interior for fire wood
12/28/2005 2:12:47 AM
Yer goddam right it's gonna be a weld-in. I don't trust bolts. I want it as rigid as possible...besides, the sleeves that come with bolt-in kits are SO NGR lookin'...
12/28/2005 3:40:46 PM
i would go custom if you're stripping the interior.most kits are designed to fit with the interior still installed.

i was happy with the autopower 4-point i had. they do make full cages that can be welded in if you prefer. the quality and craftsmanship was great.
