Does anyone really replay games?i barely replay games when I beat them.exceptions: Metal Gear Solid series.i tend to not want to sell games as well because of sentimental value, but they just lay around.Maybe renting is the way to go, but buying a game and owning it just makes it feel better.thoughts? comments? discuss.

I try to get games I know will have replay value. Things like mario kart/smash brothers/katamari damacy that are easy to pick up any time and are always fun as hell. Some more linear 'storyline' games are just so good you can play them over and over. I played through Resident Evil 4 at least 3 times back when it came out and I recently started doing it again.

Like pablo said, lots of games are designed with replay in mind. I will usually replay single player games if they are really really good but only after like a year. I usually replay Ocarina of Time every few years.

it seems odd replaying such an epic game, like ocarina of time, especially when you're expecting something big is going to happen next and you lose some sort of surprise factor. But i guess some games where beating a certain time or collecting certain things would work better.

games like ogre battle for snes and n64 are great cause you can never play them the same way twice

I'm the same way, though I finally sold about 15 games to EB after realizing they were just hogging shelf space.Because of my realization I have been trying only to buy games with a lot of replay on my DS. I might get a subscription to one of the netflix style rental systems since it is equivalent to buying about 5-6 games a year.

^i just played someone's DS today and it's probably the most fun i've had with games in a while.i played Meteos and the Kirby Game. replay on those seems high. especially with challenge modes and such.and fighting games for me always seal the deal.

I have gotten a ton of replay from C&C Red Alert 2. IMO one of the best games ever made. I also like Vice City and San Andreas, not so much for the missions, though those are good, but just for random stress relief. I also find that the Civilization series is good for replayability, I'll play for a few months, put it up for a while, and play for a few more months. Tetris though is maybe the most replayable game ever for me.

I still replay the shit out of Super Mario 3 and the old NES Technos games. But, I really don't replay many of my newer games much.

super mario 3 is one of those good to beat in a night type games

I replay one of the FF's every year. The metal gears are also good for replayability as someone else mentioned. But other than that I like games with multi player or ones with such a big storyline that I know it will take me a while. Most of these are large RPG's.

yeah I am thinking about doing one of those online rental things because most games are only worth playing through once, occasionally you will find a gem that you can replay over and over other than the sports games.
