i made the trip home from raleigh to charlotte yesterday without incident, but today i started hearing this squeaking noise for the first time since i owned the car. by putting my weight on each of the four corners i found it's coming from the fromt passenger side spring. i've noticed no difference in handling, just an annoying squeak noise riding on an uneven road.so yea the question is, am i supposed to be concerned about this noise?car is a 98 eclipse rs fairly well kept w/ 65k miles on it. i've owned it since feb of 2001 so almost 5 years in my hands. i do have 17 in wheels on it but i've never touched the suspension.thanks in advance gearheads

i second the strut mount, unless you want to spend $texas$ to get rid of a squeak, ignore it. its not like the wheel is gonna fall off or anything.

^ i figured it would be something stupid that, i can def deal w/ the noise to not pay to fix it. hopefully graduation in may will bring me a new carthanks anyway
