I hear that Microsoft wants to help NCSU students. They're a multi-billon dollar company and they can pretty much do whatever they want whenever they want. Ask them.

They all have their good and bad points. Carnival tends to have more families, but the ship is still fun....for a while. Norwegian is also nice, just depends on who you go with, your gonna get waited on hand and foot anyway. If your like most you will spend alot of money besides the cost of the trip. I nearly fainted when I viewd my bill at the end of the cruise. I didn't use a travel agency in Raleigh, but found one online. I don't know about R. Caribbean. Always lock your valuables away in your cabin in the safe. Use your credit card to lock/unlock the safe rather than your ship credit card because then the cleaning staff can't open it.

I can't remember exactly, but a little less than $800 give or take for a 7 day carib. cruise. We flew out New Years day last year into New Orleans. We had a few hours to kick around the city before we departed. As far as romantic, their were alot of couples on the ship, but alot of families with little kids also. Its was alot more quiet at night above deck and you could find time away from others. The various clubs and bars are pretty fun and are a nice way to escape the family scene. They usually assign a few hottubs for adults only. I like the one at the spa, cause it was built as though it were in a mountain spring with a waterfall. All in all it was a good experience. I would have liked to have had more time at the various ports, I always felt rushed.

awesomewe plan on going during spring break so hopefully there will be lots of younger couples, but who knows800 is a manageable budget, as long as it wasnt as much as the tickets themselves

for a moment in my mind, the idea of a all-TDub cruise flashed in my mind

Sorry, I didn't read your earlier response clearly. My non-inclusive expenses were aroung $350, for myself. Our inclusive price was around $800. Of course we only did one excursion, snorkling in Jamaica. If we had done one at each stop it would have been alot more.

Man $800 for a 8 day cruise is peanuts. You goto Disney for a week and you are short of $1,000

Carnival is fucking sweetI've been on a couple of other lines but Carnival is the best for Caribbean cruises.I didn't notice many families on my Carnival, but it may have just been about the time of year[Edited on December 19, 2005 at 11:58 PM. Reason : .]

Wherever you go, on the cruise stops, don't get suckered by the fucking retarded tourist scams.Research your stops ahead of time. Having lived in the carribean (St. Maarten) just over the hill from a cruise port, it's amazing the shit the tourists get suckered into.Never take the taxi's, take the island bus/vans. They will get you the same places, in the same amount of time for 1/20th the cost. And don't fall for the excursions you can pay for on the boat, they cost 4-5 times what you can get the same packages for on the islands usually. And don't buy the street merchant crap. If you REALLY want a wanky souvenir, go find the dollar stores in the next town over that they all buy their stuff from. Just research ahead of time.
