So I was driving down Avent Ferry when a car just pulled out right in front of me trying to cross the road. Apparently she didn't see me at all. So my Jeep just plowed right into her passenger side going 40mph. It looks like the front left tire was blown and several parts of the front axle are bent. The bumper is fine, got to love the Bulletproof bumpers. It had a lot of her paint on it though. I hope that there isn't much hidden damage to the Jeep. It doesn't look too bad just from the pictures. It destroyed the side of her car though.

haha, kewl christmas lights [Edited on December 19, 2005 at 8:35 PM. Reason : sucks to have that happen]
12/19/2005 8:33:37 PM
If you were coming down Avent Ferry Rd and she pulled out in front of you, then why (in the first pic) are you still plowed into her car in the Kangaroo parking lot?
12/19/2005 8:37:40 PM
nevermind, i think i see what happened now, sorry
12/19/2005 8:38:26 PM
it'll buff out
12/19/2005 8:41:18 PM
obligatory post about women driversbut seriously, taht sucks.
12/19/2005 8:44:41 PM
Yeah, she was trying to go straight across Avent Ferry from a sidestreet into the Kangaroo. I was headed toward campus.I was on my way home to Winston. Yuck.
12/19/2005 8:50:02 PM
yeah, big bright yellow jeeps arent always the easiest thing to see.
12/19/2005 9:48:03 PM
more importantly, did the cops see it in your favor?was she charged? does she have insurance?
12/19/2005 9:50:22 PM
^important questions there
12/19/2005 9:53:20 PM
She completely admitted fault. So, that'll be taken care of.It's just annoying more than anything.
12/19/2005 9:54:18 PM
well good, yea i know its a pain, but at least it will be taken care of....now go get a ridiculous estimate, get it fixed for cheap and spend the rest on upgrades oh i mean...honesty is the best policy
12/19/2005 10:23:00 PM
Did you try to stop at all? From the angle of the first pic either her car has a 0-60 of 2 secs and you couldn't see her or you should have been on the brakes big time.
12/19/2005 10:25:56 PM
She was coming from the street opposite of the gas station. I vaguely saw her pull out and it looked like she was going into the lane to the left of me (I was traveling in the far right lane). So I wasn't paying too much attention to her. When I realized that she was right in front of me, I had a spilt second to react. You can see the skid marks that my tires made. I really didn't even tense up. The whole thing, from her pulling out to me slamming into her, took maybe three seconds total.
12/19/2005 10:33:36 PM
u owned that shit good job. i sense a new PWND pict.
12/19/2005 10:46:49 PM
12/19/2005 10:52:12 PM
you should get a real Northwest Territories license plate instead of one of those lame 000 aftermarket ones.
12/19/2005 10:54:39 PM
how long did it take for the cop to get there?
12/19/2005 10:55:25 PM
Wow, i saw a honda element pull out in front of some old toyota in that exact same spot a week or two ago.
12/20/2005 12:36:29 AM
i mean at least it isn't your fault and at least you didn't flip it...
12/20/2005 1:35:11 AM
looks like that corolla had a much worse day.
12/20/2005 3:34:05 AM
I've been rear-ended twice in my Jeep. Definitely comes up the winner in most collisions.a.) One time some chick was talking on her cell phone and slammed her Isuzu Rodeo into the back of me. Completely smashed her front end, but I wound up with two scratches on the bumper that I never fixed (I kind of like it).b.) A week or two ago, some woman was fiddling with her Xmas presents at a stop light and bumped into the back of me, and just bounced of the rear bumper. My sister also got into a wreck in her XJ, and the other woman's Hyundai came out the worse.
12/20/2005 6:49:56 AM
A guy pulled out in front of my 3000GT in a parking lot, I was probably moving at 10 MPH after I slammed the brakes, even then, I pwnt his driver side and had just a few scratches on my bumper. It pays to drive a two-ton beast
12/20/2005 9:12:06 AM
^Until you "pwnt" a kid or something similiar.
12/20/2005 9:15:41 AM
Any car moving at 10 MPH, be it a Tercel or a Titan, is going to "pwnt" a kid.
12/20/2005 9:24:18 AM
its pretty hard to total a jeep.
12/20/2005 9:30:44 AM
Since it's a Jeep, and parts are everywhere, you can probably get her insurance to cut you a big check and then fix it yourself for cheap.Don't forget to ask for "loss of value" once the repairs are all done.
12/20/2005 10:19:04 AM
since its your front axle housing, now is your chance to upgrade to a dana 44 with all the goodies
12/20/2005 3:18:22 PM
how do you miss a gay yellow jeep. blind bitch
12/20/2005 3:59:40 PM
Is it solar yellow? Maybe she was blinded by the light. Ripped up like a douc
12/20/2005 4:01:44 PM
woman driver + woman driver =
12/20/2005 5:14:20 PM
what i meant was, did the cop write the report in his favor
12/20/2005 5:29:45 PM
The other driver told the cop that it was her fault. So she didn't get a ticket.
12/20/2005 6:18:47 PM
say what? forget i asked, as none of this is none of mine or anyone elses business. seriously.
12/20/2005 6:32:39 PM
^^ that makes no damn sense, if she didnt get a ticket, doesnt matter what she said, be prepared for a lot of court time with her insurance company
12/20/2005 7:14:43 PM
i got rear ended in my xj by a hyundai or some other craptastic early 90s car, she was doing going about 30 when she hit me, bend the trailer hitch a little and that's it. Guy we sold it to ran into a deer last month and it took out the headlight and pushed the fender back 1/2". Solid vehicles.hope her insurance doesn't take forever and you get what you want out of this.[Edited on December 20, 2005 at 7:16 PM. Reason : ]
12/20/2005 7:15:13 PM
fuck capitol city police or atleast the way they view accidents, i got hit from behind while turning left with my signal on etc, and it was ruled no fault...this was on tryon, in the 2 lane with no median, just a solid double yellow line...the cop was taking my side til the nigger who hit me's boss came up and talked to the cop away from everyone else...now i just never saw what the boss had to do with anything being that he came up 30 min after the accident...
12/20/2005 8:02:45 PM
^again,
12/20/2005 9:38:16 PM
brian you know as well as i do that the police have the option to determine fault
12/20/2005 9:49:49 PM
Don't know about that. It always seems like they want to be the middle man and nothing more, they never want to get involved with your shit, and they never want to take sides.
12/21/2005 1:06:14 AM
NC is a no fault state.
12/21/2005 3:58:08 AM
^You are an idiot.
12/21/2005 9:21:24 AM
NC is a no fault state.that is truebtw police can say who they think is at fault, but it the insurance companies who determine faulthow do I know this for a fact????my mother-in-law has been an insurance adjuster for 18 yrs....she has told me all this
12/21/2005 9:27:57 AM
