I noticed that a lot of people all over the country were bitching about the "war on Christmas" this year. I thought it was a coincidence or just the first time it made headlines. Then I heard about this book...So much for thinking people can think for themselves.Last year folks were still saying Happy Holidays and it never made the news. God Bless Faux News.

Jeff Dunham was bitching about the Happy Holidays thing by proxy recently.Other than that, i haven't been hearing too much about the war on Christmas this year.

The GOP needs to come up with some new fearmongering tactics to rile up the religious right. I posted this in a previous thread:

I celebrate Year-End Gift Day, but I often call it Christmas, because it's very similar.

https://store.afa.net/pc-10000310-11-christmas-cross.aspxYes, we have to do it again so that I can post that link. What kind of naive evangelical thought it would be a good idea to sell what appears to be a burning cross to celebrate christmas?

I am disappointed to hear about joe_schmoe's sham celebration of our precious Solstice. Those who are sincere in their faith, like myself, know the true purpose of this sacred holiday: excessive boozing and sexual indiscretion in the workplace. How can we neglect the traditions that made this country so great? I mean, it seems like each December rings in yet a new low for this once decent, upright society.

Truly thought XMAS has no historical roots with Jesus. The winter solstice has always been celebrated. Humans needed something to be happy about during the cold, dark, rain, shittiest part of the year. Early Christian leaders merely adapted this celebration into a festivity for Jesus to help convert pagans
