<bullshit>Your cell phone generates an electromagnetic field, which inducts a current into your speaker wires, causing them to make unintended noises. The more advanced phones take advantage of this, and commendere any set of near by speakers to create a giant speakerphone. They can also induct the signal backwards, to allow the cell phone companies to hack into your computer. Supposedly the Motorola ROKR can induct signals into your brain to make you want to buy songs off iTunes. </bullshit>

I can only tell if mine is gonna ring if the noises persist for more than say 5 secondsIt's a soft but very rythmic sound like a paradiddle on a drum. The other weird thing is that at night my phone randomly lights up and my speakers make that sound, about every 10 minutes. What the hell is it doing? Updating the time?

whats funny is my phones have been doing this for years and its actually pretty wierd when someone rides with me in the car and it starts doing this noise, i tell them "hey your phones about to ring" then a second later it does...freaks them out heh

Totally not bullshitting Excoriator? Makes a lot of sense. Wouldn't it do that at regular intervals though? I haven't deteced any pattern to it's lighting up or making noises.

You know the transmitter on the phones is strong enough to be picked up by the speakers, which happens mostly when youre about to receive a call, and can even cause interferance in a CRT Monitor when transmitting at its highest power level.
