well i have personally seen truck rotors warped so badly the run out on the lathe was about .125" and you could see it wobbling, if one was to cut those true, it would likely go down to the cooling vanes at some points and be relatively thick at others. have you never turned a brake rotor before? about one in evey ten i turn isn't warped more than .003" lateral run out. most are between .009" and .025".
