This is my list, which is admittedly not inclusive because I haven't been able to listen to as much stuff as I wanted to from this year:

1. Atmosphere - You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having
2. One.Be.Lo - S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M.
3. Aesop Rock - Fast Cars, Danger, Fire and Knives (EP)
4. Common - Be
5. The Perceptionists - Black Dialogue (tie)
5. Chamillionaire - The Sound Of Revenge (tie)

I also really liked the Classic album from Living Legends.

Crap, I'm behind with new albums --

Thanks for reminding me to check out the One Be Lo (1/2 of Binary Star)... and somehow I hadn't even heard about that Aesop EP. I felt kinda let down by the newest Atmosphere... can anything top "Lucy Ford?"

I second the nominations of Little Brother and Common, for sure.

I'm not a big fan of the Aesop EP. It's not bad, but it's not as good as some of his previous albums (but better than Bazooka Tooth). "Rickety Rackety" is really good, though.

Honestly, the only three new rap albums I've bought this year have been Kanye, Little Brother, Dangerdoom, and just the other day Common. I'm not up on shit anymore.

I doubt Atmosphere can ever top Lucy Ford and Overcast. Same goes for Aesop Rock and his classics. But honestly, I've felt like this has been kind of a subpar year for hiphop, so those albums still made my list because they're two of my favorite rappers, not necessarily because the albums are the best they've ever done (they definitely aren't).

I haven't liked Atmosphere in a couple years.

and Fast Cars..... doesn't come close to Float or Labor Days.
