The best two players in college bball are white, JJ and Adam Morrison. Cold day in hell.

raise your hand if you think redick will be successful in the nba
12/9/2005 2:23:12 AM
define successfullike michael jordan successful or christian laettner successful?
12/9/2005 2:25:22 AM
reddick will last 3 yrs in the league topsand don't give me this steve kerr nonsense; kerr was an incredible college point guard, not an undersized two
12/9/2005 2:26:18 AM
maybe wojohowski will retire and redick will take his spot
12/9/2005 2:28:09 AM
maybe if he worked on his passing game.
12/9/2005 2:31:54 AM
i said in college bball
12/9/2005 2:31:58 AM
he sure can shoot a free throw though, you gotta admit...
12/9/2005 2:32:46 AM
i think he means successful like bobby hurley
12/9/2005 2:32:56 AM
didnt bobby hurley play like 2 years in the nba?
12/9/2005 2:34:52 AM
exactly his pointRedick sucks he can just shoot, kid looks nervous and lost when he puts it on the floor to drive. adam is 2 small. he wont do well in the NBA because theres no way hes gonna be a rebounder like he is now, maybe a SF but he would really have to work on his power game. and if u ask me, Foye, Tucker, Brown and S. Williams are much better at this point.
12/9/2005 2:38:13 AM
exactly
12/9/2005 2:38:22 AM
yea, thanks to a car accidentbut lets not kid ourselves, jj will be good in the nba
12/9/2005 2:38:55 AM
^good at what?
12/9/2005 2:46:46 AM
^Good at stretching defenses on good teams. Teams with either a good big man and/or a good point guard will benefit from having JJ on the team. JJ's got a quick release, range that extends well behind the three-point line, and is starting to show at least something off the dribble. I'm not saying he'll be an all-star. Hell, I'm not so sure he'll be a starter. But he'll be someone to use in specific situations and he'll DEFINITELY last longer than jpcocksuckers three years.
12/9/2005 2:54:09 AM
people that forecast how good college atheletes will be at the professional level base their predictions on what the athletes are able to do on the college level. Im pretty sure everybody here realizes that the jump between college sports and professional sports is just as big of a jump as high school to college, so it is almost impossible to tell. That is why I didn't make a thread about how great JJ and Morrison will be in the NBA. I just wanted everybody to recognize that we have some great white basketball players in the NCAA.
12/9/2005 3:07:38 AM
Hurley was productive as a backup for the Kings for at least a season or two. I think Redick will do alright in the NBA.He's a borderline lottery pick. This may be the weakest draft class ever anyway and theres no HS players in it. One things for sure, he'll get infinitely more minutes than Julius Hodge gets as a rookie....he needs to go to a team that has guys who can get him open looks, but he can put the ball on the floor and he shoudln't have THAT much trouble getting his shot off b/c he has a quick release.I dont think he's a total bust, although his style is much more suited for European ball.... I dont see him ever becoming a starter, but he could develop into a Dell Curry/Dale Ellis type role player...they should put him on the Olympic team, rather than a guy like Richard Jefferson who brings nothing to the table against a zone defense.[Edited on December 9, 2005 at 3:18 AM. 12/9/2005 3:08:37 AM
lol nash is the mvp. jj is mvp white teams beat us in the olympics. lol
12/9/2005 3:25:53 AM
redick is the next rex chapman
12/9/2005 3:59:26 AM
^ shooting comparison, validathletic comparison, notRex was a total freak athletically and I still dont believe he was actually "white"He did date a black girl while he was at Kentucky so that fuels the fire.
12/9/2005 6:34:34 AM
redick is to shooting as John Stockton was to passingthe only real thing he is good at
12/9/2005 6:48:55 AM
Redick will be good in the NBA... unless he gets injured
12/9/2005 8:19:35 AM
12/9/2005 8:22:48 AM
Maybe this thread should be called the "Most talked about players in college basketball are white".
12/9/2005 12:27:44 PM
no discussion of "whos the best in college bb" can exclude Rudy Gay
12/9/2005 12:30:34 PM
He is by far the most talented player in college. He isn't near the best... YET.By the end of the year I think he will be though..p.s.- did anyone see the dunk last night. It looked like he was literally walking in the air..[Edited on December 9, 2005 at 12:31 PM. Reason : f]
12/9/2005 12:31:11 PM
^yes, that shit was absurd
12/9/2005 12:39:17 PM
I love when people hate a player because hes good (enter JJ Redick) and then knock him by saying, he wont be good in the pros. Very insightful. I love how good Julius is turning out.......
12/9/2005 12:59:06 PM
^well, I was never on the Hodge bandwagon. I knew he wouldn't do shit in the pros.
12/9/2005 1:02:47 PM
I know he is a great college player. I hate him because he is a fucking cocky prick who always chokes in the NCAA Tourney. He won't be a great pro. I'm not sure how giving an opinion on someone is 'hating' him. He is undersized, not terribly athletic, and won't be able to create his own shot in an athetlic league like the NBA.He will be a spot up shooter.. on what level remains to be seen..[Edited on December 9, 2005 at 1:04 PM. 12/9/2005 2:16:29 PM
and that's why ivy league schools win the ncaa championship every year.
12/9/2005 2:17:37 PM
All of the black kids that would be in college already are in the NBA...Carmelo, Lebron, Marvin Williams and etc.
12/9/2005 2:27:35 PM
no team in the nba will revolve their offense around jj running around the arc while the rest of the offense rebounds the ball and passes it to him
12/9/2005 3:10:21 PM
exactly... he's a white Allan Houston
12/9/2005 3:56:21 PM
12/9/2005 4:27:53 PM
i absolutely despise redick, but i'll now admit that he'll probably do alright in the nba. not a star, because teams won't set 4 picks on one possession for him to get a crappy look, but someone that can be subbed in to spark the offense. he's still a cocksucker though
12/9/2005 4:44:47 PM
12/9/2005 5:56:36 PM
Redick productive in the nba?paging Trajon Langdon...
12/9/2005 6:58:31 PM
12/9/2005 7:35:48 PM
nobody has mentioned fazekas from nevada...he is just as good as morrison
12/10/2005 12:16:38 AM
riiiiight
12/10/2005 12:27:52 AM
^^hahahahaha
12/10/2005 2:34:34 AM
^^^ i wouldnt say he's as good as morrison, but hes definitely very good
12/10/2005 3:21:05 AM
JJ got no athleticism. He won't be 1 b/c he can't pass. He will be at 2. Look at who's playing at 2 position in NBA. Kobe, Tmac, Wade, Richardson.... name any... and see if he can guard any of them.
12/10/2005 10:36:19 AM
it would be funny to see redick guard tmac, that's for sure.
12/10/2005 11:30:10 AM
i would love to see what lebron would've done in the ncaa. i guess it's better that he didn't since he probably would've played for unc.
12/10/2005 11:55:28 AM
there will always be a place for great shooters on a team, on any level of basketball, even more in the pros now than ever with the implementation of the zone defense.Players such Damon Jones, Danny Ferry, Corrie Hodges, etc have/are making a living in the NBA of of doing just that, stretching the defense and basically doing nothing else, not even defense.Redick will have a successful shelf life in the NBA, especially on a team with a dominant big man or someone who is constantly double teamed (Ferry played w/duncan & Robinson, D. Jones with Shaq and now with LeBron, and of course, Hodges had Michael Jordan).
12/10/2005 3:18:15 PM
reddick is potentially the nex larry
