I'm starting this now. This will be Mets fans homebase of operations for trolling the fuck out of the Braves fans come October. That is all. If I forget to bump this every couple months I'm a jackass.[Edited on December 8, 2005 at 2:48 PM. Reason : we don't need no fucking asteriks.]

Well since the two Mets fans on TWW troll the Braves's threads, then I'll start trolling this thread. No actually the Mets should be much better next year, assuming Wright continues to get better, Beltran rebounds from his sup-par year, and Delgado puts up his regular stats. They'll certainly have more talent than the Braves, but we'll see what Schurholtz and Cox can do in 06.
12/8/2005 2:55:16 PM
Mets fans will be the 2006 NL East Champions?? I like the odds of the fans winning the division better than the actual team.
12/8/2005 2:57:28 PM
The Mets won't win the east
12/8/2005 2:57:54 PM
^^^ I actually usually contribute w/o trolling^^ wrong^ wrong
12/8/2005 3:01:02 PM
the Cards will sweep all three divisionsthey are such a powerhouse, they will make a deal where if they have the best record in the NL (again) that they will be named rulers for the National League and will skip the postseason for 2006(here comes the obligatory "you already skipped the WS in 2004" statements)
12/8/2005 3:20:24 PM
i feel like i have been around long enough to see about 6 of these threads!
12/8/2005 4:02:46 PM
Carlos Delgado approves this threadI'm witcha homie, all the way thru October. Fuck a National, Fuck a Phillie, Fuck a Marlin and MotherFuck all the Braves fans---Eat a dick and die slow!
12/8/2005 4:11:31 PM
ahahhathis thread is gonna be SOLID GOLD come september
12/8/2005 4:44:20 PM
12/8/2005 4:49:52 PM
Well I didn't think Beltran and Cam would try and kill themselves in Centerfield either. They were still in it in September at the very least.Anyhow. Lets let this one die for now. Or flame me so I have something to respond to tommorow morning when I get in to work!
12/8/2005 4:59:09 PM
every fucking year...jesus christ...just like the Raiders, they aren't going to be good again next year despite all the money they spend
12/8/2005 5:08:53 PM
12/8/2005 6:28:02 PM
Its just a shame that the careers of all those new signees are going to go down the shitter just like every other big name they have signed in the past few years.
12/8/2005 6:32:09 PM
^lol thats the first thing that you have said on this site that i have agreed with.
12/8/2005 6:54:55 PM
METS FUCING SUCK WE JUST SIGNED EDGAR RENTERIA AND SOME BULL PEN HELP SO FUCK OFF
12/8/2005 6:58:16 PM

12/8/2005 7:35:16 PM
12/9/2005 9:01:32 AM
i love the thought of this thread starting so early NyM...that is so when the mets win the division next year, we would have called it not only almost a year early, but we can look at all those bastard braves fans and tell them off to fuck off :-d
12/9/2005 3:15:22 PM
12/9/2005 3:27:50 PM
Hey I'm not crying. Shit happens... people get hurt. It's part of the game..That response came in a thread making fun of the Mets for an 0-5 start and proclaiming they would finish last -- which they didn't.Although that picture looks a lot like Coach K when Redick was throwing away a chance at the national championship game in '04.
12/9/2005 3:30:36 PM
+=Except for the fact that he went to UCon, where felons can go and keep their eligibility.
12/9/2005 3:36:17 PM
He should have sold those to Gary Williams. Probably could have used them to research how to coach the other night.Anyway we can flame each other about Duke/UConn later. This is the Mets thread..[Edited on December 9, 2005 at 3:42 PM. Reason : jesus i don't troll the other baseball threads.. christ]
12/9/2005 3:37:45 PM

maybe, just maybe, the correlation between wild card teams and success has to do with the fact they gained their spot by getting hot. i think its probably a lot easier to hit the playoffs running than to start cold like the braves always have to do, since they lock up the division in early september
12/9/2005 6:48:34 PM
hey jackass - it was meant to be sarcastic...not an actual suggestionBut then again, that would mean a Braves fan could actually understand that kind of thing
12/9/2005 6:49:21 PM
i don't think a red sox fan has any room to be talking shit about choking
12/9/2005 6:56:52 PM
phillies
12/9/2005 7:05:32 PM
the reason the braves are always so consistent is bobby cox, he knows how to manage a baseball game...that's what the mets and everyone else in the nl east have always lacked: the ability to out coach bobby cox

The NY Mets= Where Good Players Go To Die
12/10/2005 2:18:23 AM
all i know is that the mets suck, will always suck even if they spend 200 million on a piece of shit salery. tOO BAD THE BRAVES WIN IT EVERY YEAR WITH A 80 MILLION DOLLAR SALERY. THAT MUST REALLY SUCK
12/10/2005 2:32:12 AM
mets suck
12/10/2005 2:50:50 AM
who sucks more the mets or the yankees
12/10/2005 2:51:14 AM
you. die.
12/10/2005 9:38:06 AM
Its amazing how many people are going to jump on the mets bandwagon this year, i guarantee it. It pisses me off so much being a baseball fan. Every fuckin year the team that wins the world series, all of a sudden that everyone's favorite team. After the white sox won it, the next day, i counted 18 sox hats. Whatever though, do what you gotta do i guess, but all im saying is people will jump on the mets bandwagon this year even though they've never been a fan.

^^^ huh? Is that a preemptive strike? I mean it's not like the Mets have finished higher then 3rd since 2000.. Oh and he hate me is a moron. The Mets payroll was $105M this past year and will likely be lower this year..I won't hold him against the intelligent and baseball savvy Braves fans that are mostly on here..[Edited on December 10, 2005 at 4:53 PM. YOU'RE SUCH A BANDWAGONER NYM410
12/10/2005 4:58:37 PM
first of all nym i was exagerating when i said 200 million. Every year the mets think they have a chance by signing big name people and they always end up sucking dirt. the mets are 3 in the league in spending and they cant even end up 3rd in the division. and ernie how are you going to critisize a fellow braves fan, you might as well jump onto the mets bandwagon.

Philip Humber is soft tossing from 45 feet after his surgery which is a good sign. He should be in the Mets rotation in 2007 I think. Kids got a Zito-like curve and 95 mph fastball. All the reports are that he is coming back even faster then expected and will likely start pitching in games in June! Also, with Pelfry (WHEN Omar signs him) we have 2 kids under 23 that are on the fast track to the rotation at Shea from everything I've read. When we drafted Pelfry he was, along with Devine and Hansen, the kid most thought would break in first in the bigs.

Let me state, now, that I agree with this thread. I'm a Braves fan and I see it ending this coming season. Too much going against us, it would appear.
12/21/2005 12:20:07 PM
I'm gonna refrain from making any kind of statements on this matter until August.
