some old guy up the rd from me used a 5lb sledge a few years ago on the side of his nissan...i was wondering what the fuck he was doin, now it looks like a piece of aluminum foil that had been crumpled up and then unballed...i guess he thought it would hammer out or something

baseball bat works, but its gotta be done pretty damn good or youll see cracks in the paint. i dont mind that toooo much, but if i can find a roller thatll do the job.

jared, no new wheels, but i'll be stuffing some 255s in there for autox

well i might be getting some new wheels, i dunno. i have two sets now, oem staggared (7.5,8.5) and a set of cheap 17x8"s. i should really go w/ 8.5s w/ 255s so i might try to find two beat up oem 8.5s and have a set of four 17x8.5"s. i have a lot of planning to do for next season

oh and i want the machine. it cant be much to rent, and this way you can take your time and slowwwlly increase the pressure/bend

hell i just gotta bend the inner lip in. i got 225 track tires and they rub around corners.

so its either $1000 suspension, or minimize perhaps eliminate it with a fender roller

well... i will have a heatgun by then, but the jetta wont be running. it will be in storage somewhere.. we can use it as the guinea pig (maybe the night before) b/c it will be refinished anyway.

i mean, if we have it the night before, we can do it on the jetta.. i may be able to trailer it to where ever we're doing the rolling. it will probably be in a storage unit.

its just a shell right now, and hopefully we can use the fender roller to fix a little damage (dent) on one of the rear fenders (over the wheelwell)

and i am 100% sure it will be re-painted. so, really, i dont care at all about the paint cracking/peeling.

If you can, bring a jack and stands and your own wheel removal tools. that should make things faster.

$10 a car

well, we're moving from our old house w/ no garage but a long single wide driveway to our new house w/ a 2 car garage, but unusable-for-jacking driveway the weekend before.. so we can use either house. both are in Cary

at the moment i'm thinking the old house will be best weather permitting. i'll PM ppl when it gets a little closer.

how long does it take? i think the civic would look hot with rolled fenders.

you cant see the rolling unless you look up under the fender.. it just smooshes the two layers of fender metal together, inside against the outside. the time consuming part will be jacking and taking off wheels. i dont think the rolling should take tooo long.
