HYPOCRISY IS BACK


this one fucking kicks ass. they picked their speed and thrash roots back up off the ground, sandblasted them to a silver sheen, and shattered them. this record is awesome, definitely one of my favorites in the Gothenburg death metal group. they brought back their darkness and intensity, not to mention some aggressive guitar work. tagtgren uses all of his vocal range, including some clean singing in the last song. all in all very dark, heavy, and emotional with a sense of desperation and urgency that i can't really put my finger on.. the album is epic, i even get a slight black metal feel to it.

fan of hypocrisy? you'll love this one. never heard them? buy it.

I've heard of Hypocrisy, just never checked them out. I'm a big fan of Peter Tägtgren's vocals with Bloodbath.

Downloaded out the song "Scrutinized" that they had on their website, very cool. I'll have to check this album out! \m/

Yeah, I agree with you about his vocals...his performance with Bloodbath is what made me like him so much. Hypocrisy is by no means the most technically skilled band out there, but that isn't what makes them great. Tagtgren is a genius of his own right (not to mention a one man band, check out his "Pain" project) and really knows how to create a mood and and atmosphere with his music. Hypocrisy wont "wow" you with much, but they're addicting nonetheless

haha yeah that artwork is pretty badass...it's done by Anthony Clarkson, but I can't find anything about him on the internet (other than his association with Hypocrisy)
