Not sure how old this is....but went home the other week and saw a letter from netflix addressed to me about a lawsuit from some guy saying that he didnt recieve his DVD's on time or something. As a settlement, all past netflix members are getting a free month of service, and current members get an upgrade to their membership.Anybody else signin up for this?

im not gonna bother. i dont watch the movies fast enough to take full advantage of it anyways. plus, i heard that they will automatically keep you on the upgrade the next month and charge you unless you make sure to downgrade.

^^ yea if you go to http://www.netflixsettlement.com and go down to the link that talks about claiming for the settlement, it lets you log in and update your information. Then if you qualify for the settlement they'll send you an email with instructions on the date that it starts up

Those shady bastards. I was eligible, went to resign up from the settlement form and those bastards charged my credit card for a months rental fee.

I think it's a shitty settlement so I think I will hold out.I know I may get nothing but I am still dissatisfied with the speediness. It's been getting slow to ship the past 3 months.

i have been under the impression that they intentionally slow down shipping for users that tend to rent a whole lot... but if that's part of what the case was about, i obviously didn't check out that site-ZiP!-
