ok honestly i dont know shit about all this stuff, so i was talking out of my ass but i'd love to know why you feel that way mauganlike i aint saying you are wrong, but i mean damn playstation is a beast, how microsoft gonna out do them?
12/5/2005 5:03:27 PM
b/c in reality the playstation is not a beast.Even if the hardware is better they dont have the software to beat microsoft.

12/5/2005 5:11:59 PM
ohi figured since blueray was gonna be the next big thing ps3 would be the shit cause standalone players are gonna come out at around 1000, but the ps3 will most definitely not be
12/5/2005 5:15:06 PM
hopefully HD-DVD steamrolls bluray. Also estimated bluray device prices are probably all bullshit.
12/5/2005 5:16:56 PM
I'm willing to bet that Blueray goes the way of the Memory stickaka, its sony's proprietary bullshit. How many times have you been in this situation, where your friend runs out of space on his sony digital camera, asks around if anyone has memory sticks. Everyone else pulls out pockets full of SD cards.Happens at my regattas all the time.
12/5/2005 5:21:40 PM
i dont think it would even get that far if it fails. Maybe it ends up like those dumb UD things the PSP uses. The only device that uses bluray will be the ps3.i mean MS is doing some heavy native support of HD-DVD.Sony is going to use Java for their blueray feature support on pcs. They can't possibly go in a worse direction.
12/5/2005 5:24:49 PM
12/5/2005 5:27:17 PM
Several major movie studios have already put their support behind blu-ray.
12/5/2005 5:28:09 PM
yeah no offense but blueray is def. not going away

12/5/2005 5:36:26 PM
Laserdisc is the only way to get digital transfers of the unfuX0red trilogy.
12/5/2005 5:43:19 PM
lets take a look at who supports HD-dvdToshibaMicrosoftIntelhitachiNECetc...so all the people who actually matter are in favor if HD-dvd.
12/5/2005 5:45:48 PM
ok the talking out my ass thing failed again i just want sony to win cause i got a sony ps2
12/5/2005 5:47:25 PM
talking out of your ass is fine on tww as long as you have non-retarded reasons for doing so and admit you are wrong when presented relevant material.that said, xbox is my fav, but up until the fmv fiasco i was puttin my money on ps3.
12/5/2005 5:51:56 PM
that FMV thing didn't get nearly enough words in the online "press" (aka 13 year olds with keyboards and a "press-pass").they all fucking knew about it too.
12/5/2005 5:58:44 PM
Why isn't this a class-action lawsuit? I dunno many individuals who have the $texas for the corporate giants.

I guess they're going to release some sort of upgrade or 2nd edition of the 360 that uses HD-DVD.. 'havnt looked too much into itand sony has enough software venders backing them, EA in particular, though EA seems to support about everything anyways..
12/5/2005 6:27:14 PM
microsoft better hope they dont get a ton of bad publicity over this shiti can see the media having a field day with something that cost this much, that was rushed into stores like it was, JUST for the christmas shopping season
12/5/2005 6:31:34 PM
i doubt it will go anywhere truthfully. everyone knows MS is always being accused of stuff and probably wont put stock in it.

If half of the gamers are not waiting til the PS3, then Microsoft wins. Even close to half of the amrket share before competition arrives is quite a big headstart. Not to mention that Nintendo will have a say around the same time as Sony launches.
12/6/2005 1:07:42 PM
^ serious, it isnt like all 50% are definately buying ps3 instead.
