Never done it before. Have a recipe I want to try. If I buy a frozen 9" crust, should I bake in a pie pan? If yes, are there any made of aluminum foil? I will not be able to go to BB&B or whatever tomorrow.

First you fill the pie up with freedom, then you top it off with vibrant capitalist economics. Put it in the oven for 30 minutes set to indominable spirit.

For a pie you need the deep dish pre-made in the aluminum pan. And there's some dough sheets, or you can make your own-that you can use to make the top of the pie...Yes you bake it in the pan -even if you have the pre-made. (If it's a cream pie you have to bake the shell first though.-I'm sure you know that though!) Not sure if that's what youre asking or not...

Yes, they sell disposable pie pans. Wal-mart or any other store should carry them.

They even sell some pie crusts with the pan attached.

Good luck.

Harris Teeter has pie pans. I can make a mean apple pie if you want the recipe...although I'm sure it's the same everywhere

I'm gonna make a pecan pie from this recipe. http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_22402,00.html People say store bought pecan pies here are nasty. Thanks for the tips everyone.

2 tablespoons butter
3 eggs
1-1.5 cups chopped pecans
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup Karo syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla

-Beat eggs. Add Karo syrup, softened butter, and vanilla. Mix in sugar. Fold in Pecans. Put in pie shell. This will be much easier for your first try.

you shouldn't need a deep dish crust for pecan pie.

you don't even need a crust. i usually have some pumpkin and pecan mix leftover after i make pies for thanksgiving. i just pop those suckers in a muffin pan and get little pumpkin or pecan disks of pure filling. they kick ass

I did the above recipe with a store bought shell. Turned out great. Bourbon and chocolate really make the pie even more refined. Thanks to all, esp. Sonia.
