Can someone, preferably the person responsible, tell me why the thread titled "copy protection" was locked? I didn't see anything in the thread that I thought warranted a lock. I was wondering what the reason was. It looked like the dude who started the thread was just trying to figure out how to get his songs on his mp3 player. Nothing wrong with that is there? I'm used to seeing the "I need warez and serialz" threads getting locked and I understand why, but this one was a mystery.

he was asking how to get around copy protection. it doesnt really matter what his reasoning is, that shit is just as illegal as downloading an mp3 on old-style napster.

I was just wondering because what he wanted to do wouldn't involve bypassing the copy protection despite the author's claim that it would.

^No no, that's the SONY approved and recommend method for getting around their copy protection Getting around copy protection and figuring out how to work your digital music are two different topics. Wording may have been a bit off such that is looked bad. What exactly was the person trying to do?
