One of my coworkers is looking for an IPOD/MP3 player. She asked her students but of course they only told her of the newest generation IPODs. She doesn't want to spend that much on the device and I couldn't see her using more than 1 gig of space. She just wants one because she is tired of carrying a cd player with her every time she goes to work out.Thank you in advanced...

I have an Ipod shuffle for working out, etc. But, if i were going to buy one today, i'd get the Dell DJ Ditty for $89 mainly for the FM tuner, which the one thing that gives it a leg up on the shuffle.

the iPod Nano uses Flash memory, the iPod Mini uses a tiny hard drive which means thats one more point of failureI've had one iPod already fail due to a dead harddrive, I wont make that mistake againand my Nano was free from work

Personally, I use the Zen Micro (I like having the FM tuner built in). The smaller 1GB version is about $125 right now, and it still includes an FM tuner.NewEgg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16855102199
