Why do you people keep buying new sports games that are just updates of the previous years stats?

I mean, is Madden 04 really $50 different that Madden 05? Seems like a waste of money to me.

I'm sucked in by the new features and nifty marketing. I could save $200 a year if I didn't update Tiger, MVP baseball, Madden and NCAA '06 every year.

If it's something you play all the time, what's the problem with dropping $50 a year on a game, though?

I've gotten more play time out of NCAA Football than any game I've bought since I had a NES.

Yeah I tend not to buy sports games. I just play them when friends buy them. I like playing them, but I'd rather spend money on different types of games.
