tire rack wholesale.hmm, not really sure if tire rack has them. but i know they got some rotors.or ebay
11/21/2005 2:28:52 PM
personally, i feel like they're a waste of money. i've found for street driving that OEM blanks and a good set of pads work the best.what do you plan to put these on and why?
11/21/2005 5:27:29 PM
99 f350. they're the only rotor out there for these trucks (that i know of) that doesn't warp in a few thousand miles. i agree they're a waste of money otherwise for street driving.[Edited on November 21, 2005 at 10:20 PM. Reason : .]

have some autozone ones cryo treated
11/21/2005 11:04:06 PM
pita running around doing that... anyone even do cryo around here? i know of a few in other places.
11/21/2005 11:12:06 PM
i was only joking, but it think it might work, although turning them on a regular brake lathe in the future would be a bitch
11/21/2005 11:37:33 PM
it's a viable option... you can't turn powerslots either, the regular or cryo'd ones.
11/21/2005 11:46:29 PM
what about those ones that are just crosdrilled and not slotted, powerstop? or am i imagining that brand?
11/21/2005 11:54:47 PM
what about some meineke lifetime warrantied rotors? they may warp jsut as fast but atleast you don't have to pay for new ones[Edited on November 22, 2005 at 2:38 AM. Reason : maybe midas I'm thinking of?]
11/22/2005 2:37:49 AM
I feel your pain...the Excursion eats regular rotors for breakfast. There is another brand of cryo'd rotors available too. ART, applied rotor technology or some shit. Ford truck folks swear by them.

^winner^^i'll chexor dem out
11/22/2005 10:39:11 AM
sloted rotors eat brake pads for dinnar... less than a year of use...
11/22/2005 11:19:37 AM
Pad are alot cheeper than rotors.

If ya want regular rotors slotted drop me a line
11/22/2005 5:57:37 PM
^ I've got a grinder too, so I can do it myself.
11/22/2005 6:11:00 PM
I have a CNC mill might look a bit better than the grinder would
11/22/2005 7:22:30 PM
what u niggers talking about in here?
11/22/2005 7:53:23 PM
got skills baby
11/22/2005 7:57:48 PM
Stoppin'/coolin' PWRrr ain't got nuthin to do with looks.
11/22/2005 8:02:54 PM
it's not so much the slotting i need... actually no slotting would be prefered. it's more the cryo treating. supposedly the cryo'd powerslots are the only rotors that combat premature warping on these beasts.
11/22/2005 9:09:31 PM
btw dave, what sorts of files can you input into that cnc?
11/22/2005 9:10:36 PM
Ivan, check into these too. Kinda pricey, but have heard nothing but good from those using them. Get out your wallet though. http://www.appliedrotortechnology.com/
11/22/2005 9:16:24 PM
I prefer to use IGES or DXF files. I can open about anything though. I use Mastercam for most things
11/26/2005 8:30:56 PM
you ever noticed the hummingbird sound you get from hitting the brakes on slotted rotors? i never heard it until i was beside a freind with my window down coming to a stop. that cant be good on the pads
11/27/2005 10:19:50 AM
that is the sound of the rotor eating the shit out of the pads
