Anyone know a website with the average MPG for SUVs and sedans? I tried Google but it won't give me an average only specific cars or the top 10 in each category.

http://www.fueleconomy.gov as was already linked - just pick a few of the most common SUV's and a few of the most common sedans and take the meanThat would be a very general number though... Even within a single model range you can get a vast difference:VW Jetta with the VR6 engine gets slightly over 20mpg, with the 1.9 TDI it gets nearly 50.
