takin a knee like a champ
11/20/2005 7:42:15 PM
still making millions doing socan we agree that sitting the bench in the NFL might be the best job ever
11/20/2005 8:08:47 PM
I wouldn't mind it.
11/20/2005 8:09:29 PM
^^ not if you have the desire and the ability to play on the field
11/20/2005 8:10:22 PM
But I have neither, so it would be perfect.
11/20/2005 8:12:08 PM
11/20/2005 9:46:34 PM
GREAT ITS MACGYVER!!!
11/20/2005 9:47:53 PM
Why did they not let Rivers do some clean up? Seriously what's the point of letting him take the knee? I don't understand what they're doing. Trying to up Bree's stats so they can get more out of a trade? Or does Rivers really suck and they're trying to make sure Rivers gets no PT so when they trade him nobody will know how bad he sucks? I mean they won by 38 points, how far do you have to be up in the 4th quater to send in the second team?
11/20/2005 11:32:33 PM
I see no reason for them to get rid of Brees. He has proven himself to be a top notch QB in the NFL. No point trading him away and taking a risk with Rivers, I dont care how much you have invested in him, you are gonna come out ahead by keeping Brees.
11/21/2005 12:01:26 AM
They are saving Rivers so he doesn't get hurt and they can pick up someone in the offseason that is really good.
11/21/2005 12:29:36 AM
talk around the town here in sd is pretty much that philip will never see another snap as a charger if they make the playoffs this yearit's really sad that nobody even wants to give him a shot
11/21/2005 12:59:29 AM
No, its sad they blew that high a pick on him.
11/21/2005 2:38:42 AM
yeah cause brees was such a great qb before rivers arrived
11/21/2005 2:50:25 AM
I just love how Rivers hasn't amounted to anything in the NFL. I always said he was overrated and would never do good, so far, my prediction is right track
11/21/2005 2:53:58 AM
looki know you're just trollingbut you can't hold it against him that he hasn't had a shot to play
11/21/2005 2:56:30 AM
Four words:Martin GerberMiikka KiprusoffPhil will get his shot somewhere, and he'll roll over motherfuckers.
11/21/2005 3:24:00 AM
where's Kliff Kingsbury?
11/21/2005 3:31:10 AM
He's on the Jets.I think Herm should throw him in there too. Bollinger isn't doing anything. Hell, at least you know Kingsbury knows how to throw the ball coming from Texas Tech, as opposed to Bollinger's hand-it-off scheme at Wisconsin.
11/21/2005 9:20:36 AM
^^^^ why even respond? Not only is he trolling but he isn't even doing a good job. He is just being a moron. Carson Palmer was 'no good' his first 2 years as well according to the MacGyver code of faggotry...^ he had his helmet on yesterday.. I thought he was coming in but Vinny came in and turned the ball over 21 times...[Edited on November 21, 2005 at 9:23 AM. Reason : f]
11/21/2005 9:22:38 AM
as usual
11/21/2005 9:36:08 AM
^^21 times....funny
11/21/2005 10:28:21 AM
I wanted to edit my post above but it's too late.It should read Carson Palmer was is 'no good' [based on his] his first 2 years as well according to the MacGyver code of faggotry...
11/21/2005 10:29:42 AM
Carson Palmer won the Heisman and was the #1 pick. Rivers didnt even get invited to the ceremony. Big difference. And you cant argue that I am correct in saying Rivers hasn't amounted to shit in the NFL so far. If he was such a god, he would be playing. I know Brees is playing well, but Rivers is gods gift to football, seems he would have atleast done more than just come into the game to run out the clock. Advantage: MacGyver
11/21/2005 12:36:34 PM
Actually, penis-head, the fact that he won the Heisman before never amounting to shit in the NFL makes him more of a disappointment. Are you that retarded?
11/21/2005 12:40:21 PM
eric crouch won the heisman
11/21/2005 12:43:28 PM
did someone just call someone a penis-head
11/21/2005 12:45:00 PM
Eric Crouch didn't get drafted in the top 5. Has Rivers actually ever even won anything? Nope, he had some inflated stats in the then weak ACC. Chargers made a huge mistake taking him that high. Just like with Leaf....Rivers career was over the moment they took him.
11/21/2005 12:45:46 PM
MacGyver is just pissed Vick is getting the shit beat out of himjust ignore him [Edited on November 21, 2005 at 12:48 PM. Reason : *]
11/21/2005 12:48:25 PM
Vick has more than proven himself in the NFL. So don't talk shit to me until Rivers atleast plays an entire quarter.
11/21/2005 12:49:06 PM
hah. trolling again I see.
11/21/2005 12:49:54 PM
baltimore
11/21/2005 12:52:46 PM
Really guys, you cant say shit about me talking about Rivers. I said he would never do anything in the NFL, and so far, he hasn't. Till that changes, I own this argument, plain and simple.
11/21/2005 12:54:00 PM
I have never argued he is going to be great. I never will. He might become great and he might never play. All I am saying is that your argument is MORONIC. Nothing less, nothing more.
11/21/2005 12:55:02 PM
because he hasn't had any playing time dumbass. Go suck on vick's cock some more and stfu.
11/21/2005 12:55:08 PM
How is it moronic???? He hasn done nothing in the NFL so far. SO, as of now, I am correct in what I have been saying all along. And till something happens to change that, I am winning this argument. Deal with it.^Exactly my point. He has had NO playing time. Thats whats so funny about it. They know they made a mistake and just dont want to show the world they drafted another Ryan Leaf.[Edited on November 21, 2005 at 12:58 PM. Reason : .]
11/21/2005 12:57:24 PM
its moronic because he hasnt been given a CHANCE to do anything you fucking idiot. If he gets a starting job and fails, THEN you will be righttill then youre just a piece of shit, whos boyfriend has lost 2 straight in his own dome. [Edited on November 21, 2005 at 1:10 PM. Reason : *]
11/21/2005 1:10:09 PM
^ exactly. He is using his 'lack of a chance' to show that he is overrated and a bust. Which is simply untrue. He is no Ryan Leaf. I'm not saying he is going to be a star and I never have. I'm saying he hasn't shown he isn't capable yet.Like I've said before. Carson Palmer didn't play meaningful football his first 2 years. He wasn't overrated and he wasn't a bust. He is probably a Top 7 QB in the NFL now...V I agree his agent convincing him to hold out was a HUGE mistake and probably will end up costing him more money in the longterm (he probably won't get as big a second contract this way)...[Edited on November 21, 2005 at 1:14 PM. Reason : f]
11/21/2005 1:11:57 PM
He had a chance, but he held out like a little bitch and allowed Brees to step in and take his job from him. If Rivers hadn't been such a greedy bastard, he might be playing now. I guess he wanted to get as much money up front because he knew he wasn't going to be in the NFL that long. Smart guy actually if you look at it that way.
11/21/2005 1:12:51 PM
11/21/2005 1:13:20 PM
11/21/2005 1:42:43 PM
"Chargers quarterback Drew Brees is playing himself into that long-term contract he wants. The smart money now says they sign him long-term and trade Philip Rivers."
11/21/2005 2:28:32 PM
11/21/2005 3:21:23 PM
One of the problems with football is the lack of a farm system. If Rivers had completely destroyed teams in the AAA equivalent of the NFL, the Chargers would've traded Brees for $texas players during the offseason and brought Phil up to start.
11/21/2005 3:42:47 PM
11/21/2005 3:54:42 PM
^^NFDL. They should just buy the Arena League and make that their minor league.
11/21/2005 4:00:03 PM
Hey MacGyver, was Steve Young overrated cuz he rode the bench behind Joe Montana for all those years? Granted I'm not comparing Young and Rivers, but it's the same idea. A team has a QB who's doing well, so why would you sit him?
