for the Ix of the given sections i got 4(1.32e6 + 1.36e3(109.5^2)), did any one else get this and if not how did you do it thanks

oh, i took CE 213, i'm above that shit.

too bad it is 214

213 is 214 and 215. it's for the people who are too smart to take them seperatley.

my bad then never heard of it
11/19/2005 11:33:15 PM
what's the problem?

looks right but don't forget the I part.

here was my entire equation Ix=((1/12)(75)(20^3))2 + ((1/12)(15)(275^3)) + the equation from the first post does this look right
11/20/2005 12:18:56 AM
everytime i use this formula i get a different answer from the back of the book
11/20/2005 12:29:26 AM
anybody figure out why my equation is wrong

I can't see the problem, but do you need to use the paralell axis theorom on it?You've got the Ix part... but do you need to use 1/12 bh^3 + Ad^2 ?Just a though.... like I said... I have absolutely no idea what the section looks like you're trying to find[Edited on November 20, 2005 at 10:46 AM. Reason : sfsd]

yeah you have to use the parallel axis theorem, but all i have to look for is Ix and i guess i need to due something else to my formula

maybe you should post the problem
