I know that the game shipped today. But, some stores often get games before others, so my question is, does any store have this game available at the moment?

HL 2 is not meant to be played w/anything besides a keyboard and mouse.

I do not see what all the hype is about this game, even on the pc (I played the demo for the pc elsewhere, and I did not have a pc to run this game on, so I did not buy it then, and I am so glad that I did not). Sure, it is a great shooter, but it lacks that 'umph' I need in this type of game. Basically, it is just a very dull, bland, and lackluster game. I do not even think that a multiplayer version of this game would make it better. It is not worth anything close to 50 dollars; maybe 40 (or even 30) dollars. I would highly recommend not buying this game for full price for any platform. In fact, I will not complete this game, and it is going on eBay and TWW Classifieds as soon as I finish typing this post. Overall, I will give the game on the Xbox, and the pc, a 7.5/10. Its just not whats its cracked up to be. It is a nice looking game, has great game play, but its weak presentation (and horrid porting over to the Xbox) undermines its potential. By weak presentation, I mean (a) I almost felt like I was playing HL and not HL2 at times, due to a lot of the same sounds for the original game (the game sounds good, but they could have enhanced them somewhat), and what seemed to be 2D rendering of certain objects (on the Xbox version) (b) repetitive enemies, (c) the loading dialogues and times are too long for a games that has as much clout as it does, and (d) it feels to much like counter strike. Again, it is a marginally good game, but if you missed out (or think you have missed out on something) on it the first time on the pc, do not fret, because you have not really missed out on anything that you should have already seen before, if you are into FPSs. Be patient, and wait until the price drops, or you can buy it from me at a reasonable price. [Edited on November 17, 2005 at 2:24 PM. Reason : .5]

I'd still rate the first Half-Life as one of the greatest FPSs I ever played. Not finished with HL2 yet (PC version), but I'm working through it. I like it a lot so far.
