A checkpoint in the Dare County area will follow the event. On Friday, GHSP officials will be joined by Watauga County Sheriff Mark Shook at Tweetsie Railroad in Boone. Angie Bass of Catawba County, whose son Zack was killed three years ago by an impaired driver, will speak. A checkpoint in Watauga County will follow the event.Friday night “Booze It & Lose It” checkpoints with the breath alcohol testing mobile units, better known as BATmobiles, will also be conducted in Durham, Guilford, Wake and Sampson counties. because 47 is an ungodly high number....A PLAUGEWhat this really means is that the cops get an umbrella to hide all the petty tickets they will write out for expired things, burned out headlights, etc etc.[Edited on November 15, 2005 at 9:03 PM. 11/16/2005 8:26:43 AM
^Plan ahead. If you know you are going to get drunk at a bar have a friend drop you off or take a cab to the bar.
11/16/2005 8:41:52 AM
thats fine to say but not all things are planned well in advance.predatory towing definitely discourage responsible decision-making.[Edited on November 16, 2005 at 8:43 AM. Reason : and cabs aint cheap here either. id rather only pay for one cabride]

well yeah, but theres a difference between going out on a sat night to get hammered, and meeting some friends for dinner and having the one too many that puts you over the legal limit.

11/16/2005 5:05:57 PM
is there a certain amount of time you have to get your car inspected. Do you have to pay more or what? My inspection ended in july and i cant get it done now, becuase my signal lights will not work.
11/16/2005 8:43:30 PM
at some point you have to pay a big fine to the DMV.
11/16/2005 9:36:26 PM
11/16/2005 9:39:04 PM
So I have a question. Can I get fined by the DMV if I have a car I just choose not to put on the road and therefore don't worry about getting it inspected? Or is that just like if you were still driving with said inspection out of date?Just wondering in case I stopped driving one of my cars and garage it (might do this when I move) do I just let the inspection run out, or should I make sure to get it inspected, or do I just need to turn the plates in on it so they know its not on the road?
11/16/2005 9:58:19 PM
if youre not driving it, dont register it
11/16/2005 10:15:44 PM
and if you take it off the road later, turn in the plate.
