ESPN and their people give us no love, and Chris Corchiani couldn't even make our bench despite finishing his career as the NCAA's all time assist leader. We get Michigan in the first round.http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=hoops/michiganvsnorthcarolinastate

That Michigan team would get DESTROYED by that NCSU team, WTF are they thinking?
11/15/2005 3:29:10 PM
Michigan 84.5%NC State 15.4%Total Votes: 15,526
11/15/2005 3:35:03 PM
Kenny Inge and CornDog Williams could come in just to break Glen Rice's legs
11/15/2005 3:37:29 PM
11/15/2005 3:41:53 PM
Seriously I would like to see games like this but never will. How cool would it be to see C. Webb go up against 7-4 Burleson? And NCSU would really get slaughtered in that game with 2 white boys starting.
11/15/2005 3:53:38 PM
That State team would kill the Michigan team no doubt... we have a decided size advantage and the X-Factor (Thompson)... although I would have like to have seen Hodge and Corch. make the team
11/15/2005 4:18:26 PM
^^thats why im pro-cloning
11/15/2005 4:33:25 PM
whateverfuck espn
11/15/2005 4:36:31 PM
This is retarded.Thompson and Burleson lost one game in the two years they played together. Michigan would get crushed, especially with Webber calling timeouts he didn't have.

11/15/2005 4:55:49 PM
I think the whole thing is retarded. They are considering what these players did in the NBA as well. If it is the All-Time College Basketball Tourney team then only what they did in the tourney or in college should be considered.
11/15/2005 4:58:23 PM
yeah, they have Maryland as a #7 seed? wtf? Oh, and if they count NBA, how can they have Bias on there?
11/15/2005 5:28:35 PM
Man, that is just wrong.
11/15/2005 5:29:59 PM
this is a fuckin popularity contest, my prediction is North Carolina and UCLA in the finals
11/15/2005 5:51:47 PM
Our lineup would absolutely slaughter Michigan's. Hell, our lineup would be one of the better ones in the nation aside from UCLA's, UNC's, KU's, and Duke's
11/15/2005 6:26:18 PM
11/15/2005 8:56:56 PM
I'm all for rigging this one.Michigan would have no chance in the real game, so why should they win in a poll?
11/15/2005 10:40:10 PM
ok, so where's the script that lets me vote for state all day on my computer at work?
11/15/2005 10:44:43 PM
Our 1973 or 1974 team could beat the Michigan All-StarsThis is a complete joke, and shit like that pisses me off. I'd like to email these idiots. ESPN is full of a bunch of nimrods. The qualification for that job must be breathing
11/15/2005 10:45:40 PM
hell we wouldn't even need any other all timers, just put our 73-74 team in the tourney... they would be unstoppable. especially if they could dunk and had the 3 point shot... towe would have been ridiculous with a 3 point line.[Edited on November 15, 2005 at 10:50 PM. Reason : ^wow, beat me to it.]
11/15/2005 10:50:06 PM
the qualification to work for espn is to kiss the ass at whoever's good at the moment, and only bring up the obvious history of the legendary teams. Meaning you cover about 5 NFL teams, 3 NBA teams, 6 Colleges, 4 MLB teams, and 2 hockey teams.you also have to have a horrid sense of what "dry wit" means.
11/16/2005 1:46:56 AM
It's also an issue of picking the teams that are easiest to hype, as in the ones that obviously depend on one or two people for all their success.i.e., the way they hype the Heat because it's easier to talk about Shaq than explain that Detroit uses all five starters.
11/16/2005 2:36:42 AM
as far as i remember michigan got pwn3d by ucla's gail goodrich, whereas ucla's streak ended at our hands in the 74 tournament...also, Thompson is regarded as one of the best college bball players ever, with lew alcindor and pistol pete prob being the only ones ahead of him...also State = 2 championships, michigan = 1(with the fab four doing nothing)
11/16/2005 3:20:01 AM
but in theory, it doesnt matter whoever you assemble from all the other colleges combined in history, they would lose to whoever ucla feels fit to start from their past history
11/16/2005 3:24:31 AM
ESPN is clearly trolling all sports fans
11/16/2005 11:42:29 AM
How can you consider college and pro performance and still call it an All-time basketball tourney? This totally should only consider collegiate performances.
11/16/2005 12:07:12 PM
Actually the 72-73 team went undefeated but was on probation maybe we should put them on there.
