11/15/2005 9:50:11 AM
i've finished the homework and am positive i'll be getting 100%
11/15/2005 11:36:32 AM
good. lemme get a look at it
11/15/2005 2:04:45 PM
Douche, wanna compare some numbers later? I'm double checking mine in a bit after I take a nap. I'm 100% position on few of the problems but on others I would feel better if we compared our numbers.
11/15/2005 2:23:02 PM
11/15/2005 2:32:10 PM
Ok, I'm an idiot... can someone tell me how to figure out planned orders and planned receipts?
11/15/2005 5:32:40 PM
i'm on that problem now.... are the scheduled receipts all zero?? if not, how do you get those values[Edited on November 15, 2005 at 5:56 PM. Reason : ,]
11/15/2005 5:51:07 PM
i don't need to compare answers, i know mine are right...he went over 2 of the problems in class today, i checked my answers with a friends...but i'm 100% sure it's good...u can PM me later if u want
11/15/2005 6:03:40 PM
Is there a formula for planned receipts/orders that I'm missing??
11/15/2005 6:09:01 PM
i dont know how did you get your scheduled receipts??
11/15/2005 6:15:40 PM
I think all of the blanks are supposed to be "0".... but that's just the way the book made it sound, I could be wrong....
11/15/2005 6:19:34 PM
and how do you get you EI if you don't have the planned receipts??? and then you cant get your net requirements without the EIIM SO CONFUSED
11/15/2005 6:20:55 PM
Yeah, it's driving me crazy too.... I saw the formula for the EI but it just mentioned the planned receipts and orders
11/15/2005 6:24:40 PM
i wish he would of gone over that problem instead of the other one today
11/15/2005 7:32:13 PM
I couldn't go today so the first two problems are the only ones I've figured out so far
11/15/2005 7:37:18 PM
i'll be in nelson today 430-545 w/ homework in hand...find me if u want to.
11/16/2005 11:32:56 AM
Can someone tell me how to do the planned receipts/orders? I can't be at Nelson at 430...
11/16/2005 12:19:59 PM
i dont know this homework is terriblesomeone post some hints!
11/16/2005 2:55:02 PM
is there a certain order everybody is doing them inthemas inreceipts, orders, etc.
11/16/2005 4:55:31 PM
you have to work backwards: figure out the receipts first, and you know the lead time is two weeks, so that same number goes two weeks back under planned orders (I THINK)Question: on number 8 (but the fourth problem, i dont know why our numbers are messed up!) are the scheduled receipts all zero since we werent given any in the problem?
11/16/2005 6:00:48 PM
yeai'm pretty sure scheduled receipts are always given, and if not, they are zero
11/16/2005 6:26:19 PM
what about planned receipts?
11/16/2005 6:32:43 PM
i just based my planned receipts off of my planned ordersyou receipt the total when you receive it, based on the lead time
11/16/2005 6:52:27 PM
anyone else got any tips?on anything from #6 on?
11/16/2005 7:44:01 PM
i just got back from the gym...so i'm back at it againill let you know when i get further
11/16/2005 7:51:36 PM
yea, ill be here
11/16/2005 8:28:13 PM
Tip: Go to class and listen and you will know how to do the homework. He tells you how to do them.
11/16/2005 8:55:33 PM
Tip: shut your mouth and don't respond to this thread if you don't have anything meaningful to contribute I DO go to class and listen, but his examples aren't well explained and its hard to go back and look at teh notes and figure out how he got those numbers back to the topic: i'm working on number 8 right now
11/16/2005 9:34:13 PM
#8 is pretty much the same as 6
11/16/2005 10:01:45 PM
on number 10, i know how to find the gross requirements for "C" but how do you find it for "E" and "F"?
11/16/2005 10:01:54 PM
ok, ill try to explain it the best I can: you need 3 E's to make B and you need 1 E to make CSO, you look at the Planned Order Releases for B and C to determine the gross requirements for EExample: for week 1 GR(1)=3(250)+1(600)=13501350 is your GR for week one Item E
11/16/2005 10:13:52 PM
thanks soooo much
11/16/2005 10:15:09 PM
^you're welcome ALOT of my numbers for Item F are zero....is that what everyone else is getting????? [Edited on November 16, 2005 at 10:21 PM. Reason : ,]
11/16/2005 10:20:19 PM
would it not be 2 E to make C?
11/16/2005 10:30:09 PM
no, to make C you need: 1 D, 1 E, and 2 Fs
11/16/2005 10:33:38 PM
