I would have to say Vince Young because even though i think Reggie Bush is a more exciting player because he has just been getting mediocre stats because USC is blowing everyone away. And he doesn't even start on his own team. LenDale White has more TD's anyway.

voters need to ask themselves two questions:Where would Texas be without Vince Young?andWhere would USC be without Reggie Bush or Matt Leinart?and the Heisman winner will be obvious[Edited on November 14, 2005 at 5:00 PM. Reason : 3]
11/14/2005 4:59:45 PM
USC would be fine because they dont play anyone
11/14/2005 5:00:10 PM
^^ that is not the question. The question is who is the best player, not who means the most to their team. Its not an mvp
11/14/2005 5:01:05 PM
At this point Matt's not really in contention for it unless he really changes something up the next few weeks and puts up monster numbers. It's pretty much(if both go undefeated) Young vs. Bush. Most analyst are saying Bush, but if he repeats his performance last week too many times I think he'll slide.I think Bush deserved it last year, so I figure he'll get it this year though I think Young is VERY deserving.
11/14/2005 5:12:57 PM
Mattwhats the difference in this year vs. last?
11/14/2005 5:13:54 PM
Vince Young is having an amazing year, I don't think any QB on their team would have them in the position they are in right now.
11/14/2005 5:16:03 PM
I dont know neither team really plays anyone beside USC vs NOTRE DAME, and TEXAS vs OHIO STATE so I think its a toss up. Who ever is more popular.
11/14/2005 5:30:26 PM
Matt should get it, but Young will b/c of split vtes on the USC squad...hell, white should be considered as well...he's a monster back too.
11/14/2005 5:40:02 PM
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Jay Davis yet
11/14/2005 7:03:30 PM
whatever fucking Heisman you could ever think of should go to Vince Young hands fucking downits not even about giving it to the best QB on the best teamthis man is the truth, everyone knows it
11/14/2005 7:43:45 PM
^^thats cause marcus stone is gonna win it
11/14/2005 7:44:50 PM
^neither will win because the two of them will split their votes
11/14/2005 8:04:49 PM
I would vote for Vince. Reggie Bush just happens to play on a high profile team. I mean, heisman consideration could be given for White, Bush, or Leinart. I couldn't name Texas' running backs, or any of their wideouts. As much as Texas scores, Vince isn't even getting in on all of those. Just think of how well he could potentially be padding his stats if he was responsible for all the scores. If Bush wasn't responsible for returning kicks/punts, he probably wouldn't be this high on the heisman list.
11/14/2005 8:18:34 PM
Would you rather have Bush or Young on your team. In college, Bush, in the pros, Bush
11/14/2005 9:29:06 PM
Leinart- Won it last year and has better numbers this year
11/14/2005 10:03:00 PM
11/14/2005 10:04:11 PM
Personally, I don't want to see a two-time Heisman winner in my lifetime. There's a mystique about only one guy (Archie Griffin..?) being able to win it, and I like it that way.
11/14/2005 10:09:36 PM
Whoever has the better game in the national championship wins it
11/14/2005 11:39:08 PM
isn't the heisman determined before the title game?i could be wrong.I'd vote for Vince Young too, although the talks like Radio.
11/14/2005 11:50:11 PM
yeah, heisman awarded before the bowl games.
11/14/2005 11:53:56 PM
I'd say Bush b/c he is disgustingly nasty. Have you seen him play? I will admit Young does have some nice pump fakes then 40 yard runs.
11/15/2005 12:33:31 AM
11/15/2005 12:46:31 AM
Reggie Bush should get it considering how he almost singlehandedly won 3+ games for USC this season.
11/15/2005 12:59:59 AM
Vince Young is amazing this year. QB's always get the pref treatment so it will go to him if they go undefeated. Reggie Bush has been ungodly this year but he only has a hand in about 1/3 of USC's offensive plays and they clearly have so many weapons.
11/15/2005 1:38:23 AM
either Matt Leinart, or the runing back from Memphis(too bad I think he just sprained his ankle or something).
11/15/2005 1:48:33 AM
Olson from UCLA is the most deserving at this point in my opinion... UCLA is not an ultra-talented team like USC or Texas, Olson has eye-popping numbers and his team only has one loss... I can't believe he isn't even really being talked about.
11/15/2005 9:28:31 AM
^ They were talked about their amazing 3-string of comeback games. Then they were pretty talked about until they were demolished by Arizona.
11/15/2005 9:32:09 AM
young is my winner. bush and white split west coast votes with each other. John David Booty could do the same as leinart if he was playing
11/15/2005 9:40:18 AM
usc has too many other options on their team besides Bushvince young has less talent around him, yet they blow everyone out of the water...the games arent even closeI think that 500+ total yards game for Young put him over the top in my opinion
11/15/2005 10:34:51 AM
^ I think Vince should win it but Texas played maybe 2 games in which they werent supposed to roll over their opponent. OSU and TT and they rolled TT so your argument isnt as sound as you think.
11/15/2005 10:46:17 AM
But how does that play into the heisman voting? It's so subjective that it's going to come down to whomever is the biggest media darling at that time. It's so close between the three, but i think having two of them on the same team will ultimately hurt the chances of Leinart or Bush winning it. Some voters might be swayed against leinart simply because he won it last year.
11/15/2005 10:53:53 AM
im sure Mack Brown is gonna lobby againso vince better win it
11/15/2005 1:42:26 PM
A.J. Hawk
11/15/2005 1:57:26 PM
sadly it wont go to him
11/15/2005 1:57:55 PM
yeah i need him to slide to the giants anyways
11/15/2005 1:59:33 PM
I dont htink he'll slide to the end hah go giants
11/15/2005 5:24:47 PM
^^haha yea thats a pipe dreamHoustan Texans are gettin him
11/15/2005 6:49:39 PM
