God forbid these fuckers cut some of the research budget and focus on students and teaching.

You have got to love the second link. Having been a state employee I can relate (and it was the reason I got out of it). A 2% raise once every 2 or 3 years. Keep in mind that the state pays lower than what you would probably get in industry.

And yet every year tuition is raised so that sections won't be cut and profs won't leave, but that still happens. If they would actually put the money they have where they say they're gonna put it and get rid of frivolous "mallets for the chancellor" and "Crosswho?" bands, we'd all be better off.

Im glad I got out of that shit hole before all this came about

This is why i ahte those damn people who are trying to stop the raise in tuition. It's these cuts that suck. I'm a physics major and we get the shaft over most other depts. A couple damn higher level astronomy classes were closed because of not enough funding.

Don't think that the raises in tuition would actually lead to increased classes and more lab materials. This is all just a bunch of bullshit. There are definetly misappropriations of funds in this school.

Hey, I know! We need fewer skilled workers.

so tuition goes up AGAIN and yet budget cuts are needed? hmmm somethin doesnt seem right here. and wtf is this shit about the chancellor's new house being built on centennial?
