i'm making a dvd with tv shows. With the video set to standard it comes to 4.83g (to big for the disc), if i go to long play it drops to about 3.5g. I have 6 episodes i want to burn total. In standard quality it would have to be 3 discs of 2 shows. If i go to long play it will be 2 discs of 3 shows. Is there much of a difference between the standard and high quality? I've only burned dvd format movies with it before, so i really have no clue as to how the quality in standard or long will be. Is there enough of a difference to justify using an extra dvd?

If the quality of the TV shows is very good to start out with it wont be that big of a deal to go with long play If they are crappy quality then you might want to go with the standard play.I've burned a ton of TV shows that where decent quality and they looking fine when I burned them long play.

I haven't been able to tell the difference between standard and long play in all the DVDs I have burned. It shouldn't be a problem.
