germans are on crack
11/9/2005 8:39:58 PM
doesnt flow/match
11/9/2005 8:41:36 PM
M5 and wagon should not be put next to each other
11/9/2005 8:44:13 PM
uhh... at least the RS6 avant looks nice.
11/9/2005 9:15:00 PM
You mean E55 AMG Wagon killer?Because the new RS6 isn't coming out for another year, and then another year for the wagon.Yes, the RS6 Avant was probably the most beautiful wagon ever.Oh, and the E55 AMG wagon >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> M5 wagon(in terms of performance, and, many will say, beauty as well)
11/9/2005 9:47:31 PM
ugly?
11/9/2005 9:48:40 PM
fugly
11/9/2005 9:54:49 PM
disgrusting
11/9/2005 10:25:49 PM
I find it very arousing.Ahmet
11/9/2005 10:36:18 PM
on another note I saw a brand new M5 in Cary today. Not to many of those around I believe.
11/9/2005 10:43:13 PM
6.4l magnum for less than 50k
11/9/2005 10:44:41 PM
i'd drive the hell out of it
11/9/2005 11:13:26 PM
I like it.But, I generally like wagons. An Audi A4 Avant made my short list last time I was car shopping. And, no, I don't have kids or pets--the utility and relative uniqueness are the appeal factors to me.
11/9/2005 11:22:45 PM
^ i am glad there is another one!WAGONS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SUVs, TRUCKS etc(aside from sedans)They look better then SUVs and trucks, and they ride like cars, which is the most important thing. Sad that they have a bad rep, even more so than SUVs, which I can't understand why. I mean, if a young person gets an SUV, s/he is tough, but a wagon, s/he is a sissy! That's just stupid.European wagons are the best looking, especially Audi. Saab and Volvo not bad. MB and Jag good too. BMW not so hot.And check this out, Japan only, though:And now check out this concept, which is fucking hot:2005 Volvo XC70 AT Concept408 hp from a 2.5 l, I5, turbo
11/9/2005 11:54:43 PM
yuck, yuck, and yuck
11/10/2005 12:13:56 AM
Like the Evo wagon. The Volvo-on-steroids is, umm. I think weird sums it up.
11/10/2005 12:31:22 AM
yeah, it is not for every one!but i love it.it is like the best of both worlds.imagine you are in a car chase and are driving the steroid wagon.no one can catch you, no matter where. concrete, tarmac, desert, forest, mountains, etc but seriously, the only other vehicle that comes close to what that volvo is capable of in terms of a mix of on- and off-road performance is the cayenne.
11/10/2005 12:41:02 AM
that car is bad but lets get the rs6 and that shit do do it from a 50 mph roll. v6 tt and the bimmer its gonna be close
11/10/2005 1:25:45 AM
^ RS6 was V8 TT, not V6E55 AMG Estate pwns all.AMGs beat Porsches and Ferraris in rolling acceleration (no joke). Also with a 0-60 mph time of 4.3 sec, the MB beats all.[Edited on November 10, 2005 at 2:49 AM. Reason : ]

I always enjoy an OEP touched thread because I don't get enough opportunities in my day to day browsing to scroll left and right to read.
11/10/2005 3:39:22 AM
I swear my next car will be a volvo wagon. I think the one above is a bit over the top, but most look damn good in my opinion.I'm sure its nice to drool over most of these cars, but the reality is the vq35 I have is plenty of engine for the street.
11/10/2005 5:22:49 AM
The new front end doesn't blend well with the touring body.My mom had a e34 touring and now a e39 touring and I have no problem cruising them around. Checked out a e34 M5 touring once and would drive the hell out of that. If they made a e39 M5 touring, and I had the $, that would be a top choice for a DD.

11/10/2005 9:43:27 AM
^ In what way?
11/10/2005 10:07:46 AM
straightline performance, wide margin (relatively speaking)
11/10/2005 10:54:44 AM
Thats what I figured you would say. But in terms of most anything else, I would say no. I'm sure MB chassis and handling won't compare to the M5. Plus, look at the torque curves and the a 5spd auto vs 7spd manual.
11/10/2005 11:09:29 AM
The Mercedes would barely be behind the M5 in handling if at all. And the E55's torque curve is super nasty, what do you mean?yeah its an auto, but with that much power I can deal. Plus the beamer is sadly busted
11/10/2005 11:11:28 AM
oh yeah my bad
11/10/2005 11:33:10 AM
European Car recently did an article on sport wagons, and the E55 AMG came last in all of the scoring. I'll see if I can find the article....https://store.primediamags.com/shop/tunershop/viewProduct?pm_id=10539There's the issue... basically it had an S4 Avant, E55 AMG wagon, Volvo (dont know what model) wagon, and an M3 motor put into like a 330ix? wagon. I am pretty sure the S4 came in first and the E55 came in last.
11/10/2005 11:37:01 AM
thats kind of odd b/c all of those wagons are in the smaller class. I guess it was b/c MB doesn't have a C-class wagon AMG model.
11/10/2005 11:51:30 AM
i like the legacy wagons they're supposed to be making a tt v6(or flat?) as we speak which would be awesome
11/10/2005 12:08:25 PM
11/10/2005 1:17:25 PM
all cars posted in this thread give me a stiffy
11/10/2005 1:19:26 PM
Except for the Beaner looking Volvo. Way too many pepboy accessories. Bet it would be pretty bad ass cleaned up. Like the xc70 with volvo portal axles used in the Dakar.
11/10/2005 1:26:58 PM
The E55 wagon actually outhandles the sedan, thanks to superior weight distribution. In this case i'll take the torque monster.
11/10/2005 1:32:22 PM
^ actually that think looks like its setup for dakar racing which it would need all those parts... just not the stickers
11/10/2005 1:33:02 PM
No it just has the offroad look, that is far from a Dakar set up. It is set up for a ralleye to pick up some milk. This is set up to race http://www.inventordakar.com/[Edited on November 10, 2005 at 2:23 PM. Reason : cornbread]
