I'm taking Bio 183 and I'm deciding between Parks and Ferzli. I had heard you wanted Parks before Ferzli, but the grade distribution seems to be better for Ferzli. Has anybody had either one of these for 183 that can give suggestions? Thanks!!

I agree with hgtran.. Prof. Beckmann is awesome and his tests are pretty easy & straight-forward, he also offers study sessions before each exam..

Don't know much about Ferzli but I've heard Parks' exams are tough..

Also, it looks like Ferzli's grade distribution is pretty good, like Beckmann's is.. good luck!

I liked Dr. Parks. If you take good notes, she tells you exactly what will be on the exam. She's also pretty funny and sarcastic.

I had parks for 183 and I currently have her for physiology. She's nice and pretty much tells you exactly what to study. I don't think her tests were impossibly hard, the matching sucked, but in physiology her matching is a lot more fair (not sure if its true in her bio course now). She really wants her students to do well in the class.
