just doesn't look right. We were first, weren't we? Wasn't NC State established before Nevada was even a state?

The school might have been founded earlier than State, that doesn't mean that their mascot is older than ours.

this reminds me of the history of state's mascot that the Technician ran about 4-5 years ago when the atheletics department decided to adopt the block S as the official logo for all athetic teams

Where did you get they were founded in 1801?

Their website said the idea for a "university" in Elko was approved in 1873, and opened in 1874... but that there was only one professor, and seven students, but closed down within a decade. They authorized construction for a university in Reno in 1887, still with only about 20 people.

They were founded before us, but we were the "Wolfpack" first



They were the "Sagebrushes" up until like the 50's I believe.... (Interestingly enough their school paper is still called "The Sagebrush" for that reason)

That was the whole point. I knew Nevada wasn't founded till the mid 1800s or so. I was making it pretty obvious it was a lie, I just wanted to see how many people would bite.
