1. Who in their right mind asks the other person to "chip in" on gas expenses? That is such bullshit.2. Who in their right mind makes serious, critical comments on the other person's driving? Way to make a first impression. I won't do this to you, and if you do it to me, I won't ask you out again.3. The only reason I'll even ask if you can drive is because my car is a total shitbox which also serves as my work truck. I'm not going to offend you by asking you to ride in it. Along the same lines, if the condition of my car and what kind it is happens to be a strong influence on my attractiveness, you can go ahead and go home.

Read a little closer...my car is my work truck. I do soils mapping and consulting. Hint? You're damn right their cleanliness has a lot to do with their attractiveness. I hate a total slob bitch. But I also can't stand a complete compulsive neat freak.

in related news vidal sassoon presents a study that finds an individuals hair conditioning is a factor to 82% of people, the Gap says that a persons clothing is an issue 90% of the time, and Ruby Tuesday has discovered that 76% of people find a restaurant with plenty of trinkets on the wall and overpriced food makes an excellent first date setting
11/7/2005 1:27:59 PM
i thought you were just making a general statement....my bad.
11/7/2005 1:28:31 PM
yeah, i would say cleanliness matters way more than make and model...... actually, i don't even really care about that.but i will tell you, if some guy showed up to take me out in something that was ridiculously riced out or jacked up- no way.

what kind of car you drove was big back in high school, but from my exp doesn't matter as much in college. but i'm sure that changes when you graduate and should be making money to buy that benz/ beamerand as always a car doesn't make up for personality. i know plenty of kids that have nice cars that don't get girls and guys that have shitty/no car that always have girls around them[Edited on November 7, 2005 at 4:41 PM. Bitches love when I drop the top. Then I make them drop theirs. Shit I doubt women would like a sport car like mine so much, except that its a convertible. When I first got it and I told girls it was a Z-28 they were like, meh whatever. Then I mentioned it had a drop-top and they all wanted to take a ride.
11/7/2005 7:45:31 PM
I'll be the first to say this isn't surprising, but still......what the hell is a woman thinking basing a man's economic status on something that's going to devalue the instant you drive it off the lot?I guess it's the peacock principle...whoever can afford such a display obviously must be genetically superior to be able to afford it.

I think its disgusting that people put so high on their list of attractiveness things like an nice car, or big house, or lots of cash to throw around. Not that I don't have money, but I don't want to be judged on whether I do or not. like me for me, not for what I drive.

Success usually = desire. A college kid with a fast car means either the parents gave it to him and they are successful and therefore will make him successful, OR he did it on his own and therefore will be successful.Either way it fulfills one of the cardinal needs of a woman. To feel safe and secure. You don't have to be filthy rich in most cases but a woman wants to know they wont be living check to check. There are a LOT of other factors for woman so don't take it like I'm saying any woman is purely material. But it is a big one to a lot of women.
11/8/2005 11:28:33 AM
ther is nothing wrong with living check to checkit adds spice and excitement to an otherwise bland life

11/8/2005 7:53:08 PM
11/8/2005 8:06:13 PM
Sorry, but money will always be a big factor for me.I have ambition. I have no desire to work at wal-mart for the majority of my life, nor live paycheck to paycheck, so I have no desire to seriously date a guy like that either who will suck up all my own hard-earned $$. If you have an old car that runs well, fine. If you have an old car that you have to nurse along and whould have been in a scrap heap 10 years ago, that means you probably dont have any money. As for ricers--if you have money to waste on on making a decent car trashy, then you should have money for a car that says "quality" not "suburban trash".I also want to add that I probably wouldn't date someone who was living above their means, either, so if they had a BMW, it'd really depend on how they got it and why.Of course there are exemptions, like people in college or graduate school, or people not in school but with a present from the parents.[Edited on November 9, 2005 at 12:37 AM.
