anyone know of a free solution for monitoring disk space, memory, etc, and emailing periodic reports and when emergency conditions are met? I can't find anything decent

i have a computer that I use as a pvr, and so it gets filled up quickly. I need to know when it's getting full right away so that I can remove stuff and/or burn it to a dvd.also, beacuse I just like having alot of statistical info emailed to me on a regular basis. It makes me feel comfortable, and I love automation.

right click my computerclick manage.Expand performance logs and alerts.Right click alerts and choose new alerts settings.put in a name and hit ok.enter comments, etc...Now for the actual important parts. From here you can add a bunch of different counters to monitor your system with.Click add. Choose your local machine (or remote machine if you want the alert agents to run off a machine thats not the pvr).Choose a performance object, ex: logical diskChoose a counter, ex % free spaceSelect a driveclick addhit closeSet the alert value, ex under 10%Go to the action tab.Now you're probably gonna need a small command line based email program to actually send you the email. Shouldn't be hard to find though.
