HAHA YOU LOOK LIKE A BITCH CHARLIE BAHAHAHAHAHA
11/5/2005 7:25:45 PM
In all seriousness, Marcus didnt play that great, but got the win. The defense won this game.
11/5/2005 7:26:24 PM
IN ALL SERIOUSNESS MARCUS BEAT FSU
11/5/2005 7:26:58 PM
^^ the truthPS NC State beat FSU not Marcus Stone[Edited on November 5, 2005 at 7:27 PM. Reason : damn ninja posters]
11/5/2005 7:27:03 PM
but just like last week, he made the plays when he had to. key word: WIN
11/5/2005 7:27:19 PM
11/5/2005 7:28:52 PM
^ perish the thought
11/5/2005 7:29:28 PM
Umm Im not taking sides, but how hard is it to hand it off to ANDRE BROWN!!!
11/5/2005 7:29:58 PM
^^hence the thread.^Not very. Than again how would 4 or 5 INTs have helped with Davis at the helm?[Edited on November 5, 2005 at 7:31 PM. Reason : -]

amen.... the "it" factor, undefinable ability to win
11/5/2005 7:40:58 PM
i'm not reading the rest of the threadbut marcus did finally step up in the second half, but stillnothing else he has shown has made him stand out. it definitely wasnt as obvious as some of you guys want it to be.
11/5/2005 7:45:48 PM
11/5/2005 7:47:09 PM
I'll say it now:Stone doesn't put up breakout numbers. He's very pedestrian when you look at the stat book.Jay Davis puts up breakout numbers... if you're the other team's defensive ranking.
11/5/2005 7:49:20 PM
Wonder what our record would be if Andre was playing earlier in the year? Ill beat we could have beaten Wake and UNC.
11/5/2005 7:49:25 PM
um you Charlie/jay supporters fail to recognize his TD pass and 0 turnovers.
11/5/2005 7:49:51 PM
Stone had zero turnovers, and we won...the stats honestly mean nothing otherwise
11/5/2005 7:51:16 PM
^uh no. it means that he played efficiently, and jay cant do that. it means hes 2-0 as a starter.
11/5/2005 7:54:06 PM
1) Stone did not win the game for us.1) Stone did not lose the game for us.He gave us a chance to win. Brown was huge again. With Stone in, we play better for whatever reason. He has to play '03 Delhomme, just don't fuck up. We got the D to lean on, get a few first downs, maybe a FG, the D will pull us through. Many teams have won with this model.
11/5/2005 7:54:10 PM
Roethlisberger makes a pretty good living as just an efficient QB
11/5/2005 7:55:25 PM
THEREFORE THE STAT MEANS HE PLAYS EFFIECIENTLY
11/5/2005 7:56:50 PM
1 completion for 8 yards in the 1st halfAndre Brown and the defense won this gameMarcus handed the ball off very well and didn't make any mistakesHe didn't do anything to win the game or lose the gameI'm not gonna rag on him, but he's not the reason we won
11/5/2005 8:50:37 PM
11/5/2005 8:53:31 PM
If Jay Davis has an Andre Brown playing with himthen Jay Davis would get the undeserved recognition Stone is gettingand if the offense played bad b/c they didn't like Jay, then they're at fault for losing, not Jay
11/5/2005 8:54:32 PM
Marcus is the leader of the team as QB. Our defense played great. Andre was amazing. BUT Stone threw a TD and did what was necessary to win. Jay had his chance last year when The defense played great and he lost.

oh and charlie, are you pissed that we won and that stone is 2-0 as a starter. would you be happier if jay had played and lost both of those games?
11/5/2005 9:00:25 PM
charlie how bout brian clark dropping the PERFECT td pass, forcing us to kick a field goal?ya that's what I thought, STFU and GTFO.[Edited on November 5, 2005 at 9:02 PM. Reason : .]
11/5/2005 9:01:05 PM
Girls...we're on the same team. You're both right. Stone sucks... but Stone also is winning. It may not be becuase of his exceptional play, but he's winning.... enjoy it and quit being little girls
11/5/2005 9:01:39 PM
i'm not pissed we woni'm glad we woni disagree with Stone getting credit for the winhe didn't win the game, he was just therebut b/c he's the qb, he gets credit, which is bullshitJay Davis could have gotten the win if he had the help that Stone has
11/5/2005 9:01:55 PM
way to totally disregard my post, because you know it is right and have no argument.[Edited on November 5, 2005 at 9:02 PM. Reason : /]

Yeah, I think it's pretty stupid to credit Stone with the win. It's also stupid to deny that we're 2-0 with Stone. Could Jay have won those? Maybe... but he sure as hell had plenty of opportunites over the past two years and didn't...even with a good running game. I simply think the team plays more inspired with Stone... he breathes new life into our team.

Charlie, in his 2nd career start his team beats #9 FSU. And how about good old jays stats last year vs. FSU J.Davis 6-19-0-72 Stone this year 9-17-0-85 and a TD. call me crazy but Jay had his chance last year. And 6-19 Hmmm. he sucks. You say stone sucks but ill take 9-17 for 85 yards a TD over jays everyday.
11/5/2005 9:11:20 PM
when have i said stone sucks in the thread?when?tell me?because i'd like to know
11/5/2005 9:16:09 PM
^
11/5/2005 9:23:43 PM
^^Nobody is saying Stone played great (from your earlier comments about that). The only point of this thread was to point out that you're an idiot. Stone won, he doesn't deserve the credit thanks to Andre and the D, but he won. WON WON WON WON WON WON WONWho gives a fuck about anything else.
11/5/2005 9:46:26 PM
11/5/2005 9:51:05 PM
i think what everyone is trying to say is thatwith stone: good ball control/movement; nothing spectacular but nothing back-breaking.with davis: shaky ball control/movement; not enough good plays to validate the bad oneswe're not saying stone wins the games, but stone is enough of a non-bonehead to not lose them
11/5/2005 9:51:35 PM
See, that long completion to Tramain was exactly why we play better with Stone in. Not that he's going to throw the ball downfield a lot, but they still have to respect it.
11/5/2005 9:56:05 PM
11/5/2005 9:58:14 PM
^haha...yeah, cause putting up 10 points (although 1 completion) sucked.
