Anyone know how to check the status of a tax return? I did my taxes before the April 15th deadline and I have not seen my return yet. It was only for like $40 so, I'm not really stressing over it. I'm just wondering if they ever got it. What or where can I go to check to status? I did them online at H&R Block. I haven't received either one, Federal or State. I'm starting to think they didn't get them.

Call the IRS. I had that happen maybe 2 years ago. The federal government owed me a couple of hundred dollars and I never got the return. I called them and the lady on the other end said that they were just going to send it next year. (WTF???) I then explained to her that I would prefer the money now, so I recieved my check in 6 weeks as per standard processing time. It was the dumbest shit ever. Moral: Call them and get angry.
