Personally, revving is a lot easier than trying to find the horn button without looking down. My hand is already there and the dumbass in front of me is looking at the floor. Also, some may agree, some may not, but I don't have a stereo and I personally find the sounds emitted from my 'mufflers' to be very musical. You don't hear me bitching about every time a car drives by with their windows down and they are listening to music I don't like and it is loud.The above was subjective, this is not. Motorcycle engines have low inertia and they don't make much power down low. My motorcycle has a dry, multiplate clutch that can be a pain in the ass. I personally would rather rev a little bit and actually move forward rather than stall out in the middle of traffic (which I have done).
