Draft should go KG, Duncan, Lebron, Kobe, Amare (had he been healthy), Dirk, and then you could probably put some 20 players into the next slot, depending on preferences (Personally, I'd go w/ AK47)

^not as valuable right now that Amare is out. Amare gave him over half his assists a night.

I had Amare and Nash on the same team last year and just murdered people.

Allen Iverson is a tricky pick. I personally like him because he's guaranteed points and in the past few years he's been dishing out a lot of assists, plus a couple three pointes and good free throw percentage. However, he can shoot you out of the field goal percentage by himself almost every week. He also gets a lot of steals. I almost picked him up this year, but he got snagged right before my pick.

Andre Miller and Jason Kidd are great point guard picks because they get points/assists/rebounds. You have to love the triple double threats on your team.

My friends give me hell for it...but I love having Marcus Camby on my team...when he's healthy. Last year he won me the blocks category every week, as well as throwing in some huge rebounding nights. He's looking really good this year too now that it looks like Nene is out again. There are also very few good centers in the league. So if you can find one that plays a majority of the game and puts up decent numbers...pick him up. For some reason, in my league you have to have 2 starting centers...which sucks because that's the worst position in the league. For that reason I grabbed Brendan Haywood this year. He should be getting a lot of center minutes with Washington and has been improving his numbers every year. I'm hoping he'll be a solid center for me this year.

Last year I had Rashard Lewis and Quentin Richardson on my team and never lost the 3-pt category. I picked up Rashard again this year...I think he's going to have a huge fantasy year.

That's all I can think of right now. Someone mentioned AK-47 (Kirilenko) earlier...I think he's a great pickup in the first. He puts up all around numbers too.

Nash did almost have a triple double last night...so scratch that.

But he's not going to have the assist numbers that he had last year. I could almost bank on him having at least 13 assists a night last year. It was pretty ridiculous.

^I would probably say so.

Kevin Garnett will give you the highest totals in the most categories...points, rebounds, blocks, assists. He also usually has a good FG% and FT%.

In Fantasy NBA you should try to get a good "all-around" guy with your first pick. Like KG, Duncan, Kidd, Dirk, etc. These are guys that are going to get you good totals in three categories, or high totals in 2 categories and an decent total in a 3rd. So I would go for guys like KG, Duncan, Kidd, Dirk, Lebron...then guys like Kobe, AI, T-mac, Melo, Wade, Shaq, etc. Then you try to hit up guys who are going to win you single categories. Michael Redd, Rashard Lewis, Quentin Richardson, etc...are guys who are going to get you 3-pointers...Ben Wallace and Marcus Camby will get you rebounds and blocks...Nash, Marbury, etc. are going to get you assits.

At least that's how it's worked for me the past few years. And I either win regular season or make it to the finals of the playoffs every year. And just keep track of what's going on every week. I made a lot of good pickups last year.

last night for example...HORRIBLE shooting night, but still had 13 points 16 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks...

I just forgot to put him in the post. It's kind of hard to forget him...he's the #1 rated player on Yahoo's Fantasy rankings. He's also going to be doing A LOT more now that Amare's hurt (note the 16 rebounds). I would take him before Dirk and Nash too. But I wouldn't take him before KG...and probably not before Duncan and Kidd either.

C. Mobley (LAC - SG) -Should have a BIG year with Cassell demanding more D...
J. Johnson (Atl - SG,SF) -Should have a BIG year being the go-to guy...
B. Wallace (Det - PF,C)
E. Okafor (Cha - PF,C)
G. Hill (Orl - SF) -Once he gets back from his Hernia, he'll be straight

I just traded Damon Jones (Snow got the starting job) for Dunleavy (GS sucks and has injuries so he'll get his) since I was PG heavy (M. James, B. Sura, Juan Dixon) and needed another F

Don't know about AI as number 1. He does get a lot of points and assists, but hardly any rebounds and he'll shoot you out of the FG% category at any time. I never want to use my first pick on a guy who's going to make me lose a category every week. He does get a lot of steals though.

I don't think Marbury's numbers are going to be as good this year either. I think he's coming down from his peak years, plus Jamal Crawford is becoming more of a go-to guy and Nate Robinson is oging to take some of his minutes.

Al Harrington is the go-to guy on the Hawks. Not Joe Johnson. He'll get his though.

I like Grant Hill too. He went low in almost everyone's drafts last year and was extremely productive.
