all i've got on hand is 2x2. if you buy 20' of 2x4, i'll buy the rest off of you if you get 3/16 wall. i can always use it.[Edited on October 31, 2005 at 9:10 PM. Reason : .]

metal scrapyard, there are a few around. One kinda close to campus although you'll need steel toed boots to enter. There is another one in durham that's smaller and more laid back, I think it's near I-85 and 70

Won't Dillon sell a smaller quantity than that? I thought they would, but then I may be wrong...

wheres the one near campus?

Doubtful Dillon will sell less than a stick. Well they will but you'll pay your ass off for it.

i'll call dillion tomarrow but i though they only sold 2x4 in full legnth pieces, but i'm not sure. cornbread where is that scrap yard near campus? if nothing else i'll split a that 20' section with ya bigblueram

apex steel will sell you less than a stick.

^yep. they charge alot though. dillon will cut a 20' stick into as many pieces as you want, but you still have to take the whole 20'.

dillon also charges you to cut it down.

^ it depends on who's there, if there arent too busy they usually dont mind doing only a cut or two for free, like cutting a 20 footer in half to fit in your truck

thats what i was thinking i'm trying to get out as cheap as possble thats why i was hoping someone had some leftovers from a project i don't have any scraps that long except some 6"x6" box that i got from who knows where and i'm pretty sure that would look ajust a little retarded under the front of my bronco.
11/1/2005 2:22:52 PM
^^^yeah, they'll generally cut stuff in half for free, especially if you're buying a few pieces or more. i've never been charged.
