Does anyone here play it? It's an old MMO that has been around for about 4 years and I'm currently somewhat addicted.

Yes - my whole family of 5 plays it on 3 accounts. We're mostly Hibernians. We've got vampiirs, heros, bards, an animist, blademasters, a bainshee (me), and I believe a ranger. If you haven't found it already, there is a Dark Age of Camelot site at http://www.darkageofcamelot.com/ and a forum in case you want a little help with your quest at http://camelot.allakhazam.com/quests.html?cquest=342I don't get to play as much as the rest of my family. Having a job seems to interfere with my game time.

I have a bunch of characters on Ector in Albion. Main is a 48 Paladin. Tried Hibernia on Merlin too and joined a good guild but had an interesting bug that kicked me out when I installed the latest patch. :/

I used to play on Gawaine for Albion, but then I switched to FFXI, and then to WoW.

I had a 50 Bow Ranger on Iseult before ToA came out. Got back into the game a couple months ago and played Mid on one of the new classic servers but got pulled away by CoH/CoV. Still the best MMO PvP imo

They have a 14 day free trial, but you have to actually sign up and make a real account before you can get in and play, and I hate having to do that

^It's not the only thing we do. And we've met other whole families where everybody plays. How many parents actually play games with their kids anymore? There is kinda like a nice family game of monopoly from twenty years ago.

I tried WoW as well but couldn't really get into it. *shrug*

That was my first MMORPG. Had a fire wizzy and a savage. Looking back i had a lot more fun playing DAoC than i do playing WoW now. Darkness Falls was the shit.

^I wasn't thrilled with the whole concept when my husband and kids started playing. However, upon obsevation, I've come around.1) My kids now type and read rapidly. (Although there was an incident where my son tried to turn in a paper with are as "r" and you as "u", which occasioned a discussion of different types of communication.) 2) My kids understand how to strategize and work together. Only the oldest goes up against outside players. The younger ones stay inside Hiberian and work on computer-generated monsters.3) My kids understand how addictive the internet can be and we've worked with them on pacing themselves and not starting a game until after the homework and other chores are done. Balance is the key to internet gaming. My kids have various sporting activities and their grades are up to snuff.4) When my kids meet other people on the internet, I'm on the same server and have a chance to observe the interaction. My oldest has learned to shrug off the comments from strangers that are not so nice. They're going to find the internet someday, so my spouse and I might as well be there to point out that some folks are jerks and some folks are nice.I'm gaming about as much as I'm on tww, which isn't much. No help is requested.
