You know those metal screw hole brackets hold things like the radio, dash pieces, etc? Is there something you can do to make them work again (i.e. they've been overtorqued and dont really "hold" the screw down, just kinda keeps them in place really loosely). Ocassionally I have luck with flattening the bracket out with pliers or something and re-forming the threads with the factory screws, but most of the time that doesn't work.

Would a tap work? Might have to invest in a set just for that mess.. it's pretty annoying. A more ghetto method is fine too if you know of any..

My stereo is pretty much held down by the 2 bottom screws and the whole rear of my center console wobbles around because the metal brackets are "stripped" harr
