i never got into the cruxshadows like i did with Switchblade Symphony or Bella Morte. If you could have gotten either of them to play the Brewery, then that would be a show to see.... Too bad Switchblade Symphony isn't still together though.

i finally sat down at listened to them the other night. i dont see what makes them any better than other similar bands.like, i live in florida now, and people here like them, but they never say anything about them being musical geniuses like people in nc always say. i dont see whats progressive about their music either. when i think prog, i think of someone like tool. i dont know, maybe i dont "get it" like you kids do.

they actually have gotten a lot bigger in the last few years. and no, they're not industrial or metal.so points off on both sides.they certainly aren't packing stadiums, but from what i know of the brewery's past few years and simply the size of the venue, this does seem like a pretty big show for them.i wouldn't call them geniuses at all, but they're a consistently decent group from album to album and have a lot of support in the community that's netted them some pretty high-profile remixes that helped launch them more in clubs over the past few years. for their brand of music, they're one of the bigger names still currently recording and touring.

i guess youre right. def. not metal, i knew that much. i just never know where to classify them. good stuff, regardless.
