One of my friends had this car for a while and one day it mysteriously stopped running. Her dad figured it was jumped timing, so there it sat for a month until I went to take a look at it and what do you know, no spark but good compression. One $250 distributor later and a total investment of $1450 and I have me a nice creampuff. Its got 150k miles, new timing belt at 112k, new cd player, everything works, clean interior, slightly faded red paint, typical blemishes, good tires, and its solid feeling with no rattles. The driver's side cv pops a little when you cut the wheel hard but I managed to change the axle on my corolla with no problem last month, so I hope its about the same on the teg.On that note, I've been offered a free engine & tranny for my corolla so I think I'll have a nice stripped out snow monster this winter... That and an autox monster next spring.I'll post pics of the teg if you want but it looks about like you'd imagine. (that and I'm too lazy to go out and take some right now)

nice i bet the teg feels a lot quicker rollas are very gutless.

^ I've made some kills in my pop's 99 automatic Rolla. I got a couple riced out civics, an SOHC 1g dsm, and a Pathfinder with a couple people in it. the trick is to turn off the A/C for that extra juice yo. I've actually cruised Capital a couple times in it and made some kills. slow cars can be fun.

I drove the shit out of the corolla... Its fairly nimble but had some terrible body roll, so it may possibly get some suspension treatment. I say possibly because I'm not sure that I just wont fix it and sell it but I believe I could fab up some anti-roll bars and put some coil overs in it with little problem. It had enough power to hold its own autocrossing but 0-60 was 8.5 seconds on a good day so yes it was rather gutless. The tranny I have been offered is close ratio, so that should help a little in the zest department.^He's right about the A/C... It was like a turbo boost if you turned it off while accelerating. The rolla's acceleration was plenty for it to get out of its own way, and adequit to beat some sissy in a riced out auto civic. Mine is a bit different than his pop's tho as it is a manual and '91[Edited on October 18, 2005 at 1:35 AM. Reason : to remove multiple edit tags]

And yes the Integra feels like a damn mclaren to me now in comparisson
10/18/2005 1:32:49 AM
^ haha that's what i thought. of course about the a/c i took the a/c off the 240 , and it has a turbo.. so it's like a tt 240 [Edited on October 18, 2005 at 1:38 AM. Reason : lol]

I got a weakness for Tegs. A good daily. Now you need to get some alloys for it. I hate steel wheels...You find me a shop to do it in, and I'll paint that motherfucker for ye.
10/18/2005 2:08:22 AM
How about the ones on the left? 16" is tempting.I'd assume I should stick with red if I got it painted right?[Edited on October 18, 2005 at 2:18 AM. Reason : d]
10/18/2005 2:15:58 AM
15 or 16 is as big as you need for that car. I'm personally gonna go with 15's most likely if I decide to keep/work over my Teg. Of course, if I find a good deal on some really nice light 16's...well, there you have it!
10/18/2005 2:17:59 AM
I figured 15 would be more practical in general, especially for sticky tires. Where would one look for deals on wheels?[Edited on October 18, 2005 at 2:22 AM. Reason : blah]
10/18/2005 2:20:03 AM
I think 15's are more than adequate, but if I came across the right deal, 16's would be nice, especially if it becomes my track car. However, a good set of Hoosiers or Kumhos on 15's is more than adequate.

These things have cable clutches right? Mine is a lil stiff. Any quick remedies to clear up the cable drag?
10/18/2005 2:26:25 AM

10/18/2005 2:28:06 AM

need any parts for the integra? Poe87 is parting a 92 that needs to go ASAP...you can buy parts off it or, even better, buy the whole thing

10/18/2005 10:38:42 AM
Just got back to work from lunch. This car is just too much fun
10/18/2005 12:56:36 PM
still no pics?
10/18/2005 1:00:44 PM
picts are a must
10/18/2005 1:25:00 PM
make it louder.remove the resonator.
10/18/2005 2:41:07 PM
I really dont want a buzzy integra...
10/18/2005 2:51:16 PM
it's not really that buzzy.i did it on my accord. you only notice that it's slightly louder during WOT.removes a restriction in your intake. almost like installing a CAI, but without the expense.
10/18/2005 3:23:11 PM
ah shit i thought you meant exhaust resonator
10/18/2005 3:24:09 PM
ah sooo.my bad.
10/18/2005 3:40:42 PM
if you want an intake I have one for a 93 b18a integra
10/18/2005 3:49:13 PM
i bought a new stock air filter when i bought the car so it'll be a while if ever.
10/18/2005 3:54:51 PM
haha ok
10/18/2005 4:06:20 PM
DA (90-93) integras are make great daily drivers, among other things. I was looking for a hatch before buying my current daily driver, and would reccomend them to anyone looking for a high MPG manuverable car with better power and braking than their honda counterpart, the civic. Ditch the corolla forever.
10/18/2005 6:14:10 PM
u cant argue with 4 wheel disc brakes, and that lil nonvtec 1.8 is fast and torquey would tear apart my old celica and the teg was auto. all i know is i beat the shit outta that engine and tranny, still drives perfect and burns no oil
10/18/2005 6:47:52 PM
Hey loyo what does that intake look like? How much do you want?most importantly: Is it going to offer me increased power or just wot noise? If yes on power, is it going to decrease low end torque?I've got to be careful modding a honda/acura. Theres a very fine line...[Edited on October 20, 2005 at 4:28 PM. Reason : d]

I'd drive it like it is for a while. Fun little car. Unless you want it to sound like mine... But yours drives a shit-ton better now; why fuck with a good thing?
10/20/2005 11:41:06 PM
Good choice dustm on the car! You'll be very happy with that car. I've had a great experience with mine over the last 6 years. Very reliable, good handing, and relatively quick.
10/21/2005 8:25:27 AM
I am selling a brand new CF hood for 90-93 Integra. Never installed it, since it came shipped without a latch. OEM style. $300 and I'll throw in a brand new set of gunmetal hood pins
11/15/2005 5:03:52 PM
That's a waste of money for dustm's daily driver. Come to think of it, it's a waste of money period.
11/15/2005 5:35:40 PM
i hope you PM'd him as well b/c there is a good chance he'll overlook this getting bttt'd
11/15/2005 5:42:29 PM

^^Then it's flat black primer time, Joel. Fuck a 300 dolla hood. Not for me unless I'm going all out.
11/16/2005 1:46:48 AM
Now you know I love the primer, hence the name, but to each their own when it comes to shine.
11/16/2005 2:23:42 AM
My paint's starting to go on my hood....but also on the trunk, roof, and spoiler
11/16/2005 8:59:54 AM
Thanks for the offer on the hood but I think I'll pass. If i'm going to spend $300 on something made of carbon it better have wings Those wheels seem decently priced. I hate to say it but I kinda like these in bronze:
11/16/2005 2:22:53 PM
i recommend something easier to clean
