^^no way...that would be pretty strong even for a GSX-R 750. that's prob crank hp, which is still pretty impressive.

and yeah, it looks like the underseat exhaust is giving way to that shorty pipe. the R6 has it, all of the GSX-Rs are getting something on that order (like the 1k had last year), and i'm 99% sure that the ZX-6R is getting something similar to the R6. i think the R1 is keeping the dual undertail pipes...don't know about the rest of the liter classers.

holy shit, $9200 MSRP for an R6? YOW!

[Edited on October 17, 2005 at 10:58 PM. Reason : and kawasaki's building a ZX-14? DAMN! guess the 12R and Busa weren't enough with the new liters]

oh well, i decided not to get a PWC (Ultra 150) until i get done with flight school and my training squadron, and get a permanent duty station (hopefully Beaufort, SC). if they cost that damn much, i might not get a new bike until i can pick up one slightly used...i'll just bank the money away and/or spend it on flight time.

isnt like 18-20k or somewhere the absolute limit that a reciprocating engine can turn? seems like i saw that somewhere, with the metallurgy we have today, there is no alloy for a crank that can withstand that much radial acceleration.

damn, uses a lot of titanium. Exhaust is funky, and where the hell did they put a cat on the exhaust? The tail fender needs to be eliminated.

DAYUM! Me thinks I'd put that money into a VFR 800 instead.

saw a bunch of cool sportbikes this past weekend up at deal's gap. i remember specifically a cbr1000RR. that think was sweet.

also saw a trike with a 5.0 boss mustang engine in it.

^I didn't know you frequented the gap, Beethead...did you take the GTI or the Death Bunny? Was it your first trip there? What'd ya think? I might be going down there in my S2000 this weekend, buddy of mine might bring his CBR600RR too.

But to get back on the topic, is it just me or does it seem like the vertical gap between the back wheel and the bike keeps getting bigger? Is there a reason for that? Seems kinda ugly to me.

You guys need to let me know when you're headed up there, I'm practically a Tail of the Dragon regular, lol

If you take the Death Bunny when you go back Kevin, I bet you'll get on the front page of Killboy, heheh.
