10/16/2005 1:57:06 PM

10/16/2005 1:57:39 PM

10/16/2005 1:57:49 PM

10/16/2005 1:58:22 PM

10/16/2005 1:58:32 PM

10/16/2005 1:59:14 PM
10/16/2005 2:00:10 PM
yay for home team biasrabble rabble
10/16/2005 2:01:46 PM
I meant the 80 yard pass wasnt new thread worthy dumbass, which was right when you made the thread. It all happened because of a bonehead missed tackle by the safety. Please dont be a stupid n00b.and damn, he's good, but im not gonna go with best in the game. [Edited on October 16, 2005 at 2:04 PM. Reason : ]
10/16/2005 2:02:38 PM
it wasnt just the 80 yard catch that made me start the thread. have you been watchin the panthers at all this year or am i the only person who thinks steve smith is the most valuable player on the team. *he's a kick ass punt/kick returner*never drops a ball*has 7 touchdowns in only 4 and a half games*and unlike moss and TO, he's good for his team cuz he's not a total egomaniac*plus he's a good actor (new Bojangles commercial)
10/16/2005 2:07:18 PM
you fucking idiot. You jinxed him. now he's gonna drop one.
10/16/2005 2:21:26 PM
he dropped alot of passes that leinhart put right on the money. he really hasnt improved after the national championship year
10/16/2005 2:23:18 PM
ummlol
10/16/2005 2:24:00 PM
and he recovers fumbles.
10/16/2005 2:26:36 PM
^^^ what? thats colbert
10/16/2005 2:27:47 PM
USC has a steve smith right nowi dunno if he was talkin about him or colberthence the 'umm lol'
10/16/2005 2:28:41 PM
as of right now...Moss-466 receiving yards, 2 TDOwens-556 yards, 4 TDChad Johnson- 466 yards, 4 TDSMITH- 560 yards, 7TDwho in that group stand out the most?? plus steve smith is only 5'9", every one of those receivers has 6 inches on him
10/16/2005 2:31:00 PM
Holt: 2005 38catches, 568yards, 14.9 average, 44yds long, 4td Possibly the most humble player in the league, and nobody has more fun than him. I dont know what your problem is. Smith is good, I never argued with that, so shut the fuck up about it.
10/16/2005 2:53:25 PM
10/16/2005 4:35:16 PM
i love his celebrations, they are funny as hell.he popped the cap and drank the football like a beerhe posed sexy with the footballhe sat down and dialed the football like a telephone and then talked into ithe rocked the football to sleep like a baby and then made a "be quiet the baby is sleeping" motionhe is funny as shit
10/16/2005 5:51:06 PM
10/16/2005 6:09:12 PM
yep Steve is one of the most intense guys in the league and yet hes not a distraction or egomaniacfunny how that can actually happen
10/16/2005 7:25:07 PM
^^ wtf are you trying to say?
10/16/2005 7:28:56 PM
i say he gets at least 2 TDs again this weekMVP!!!
10/28/2005 4:05:23 PM
best wide receiver in the nfl right nowand "best wide receiver" isnt a lifetime achievement award...its who is the best RIGHT NOWunless you want Brett Favre over Peyton Manning
10/28/2005 4:53:30 PM
TreeTwista10:Oh, and when you bring up "STEVE SMITH IS SO TOTALLY THE BEST WR IN THE LEAGUE BECAUSE HE HAS THE MOST TOUCHDOWNS"I'll point our your little
10/28/2005 5:13:16 PM
Brett Favre has done that with one less game than Peyton also. he started out the season looking like shit, but he's playing pretty well the last 3 games.
10/28/2005 5:36:48 PM
Not to mention he has no running game whatsoever.
10/28/2005 5:50:13 PM
10/28/2005 7:47:15 PM
I'm pretty sure they were referring to Randy Moss, who has a definite height and jump advantage.
10/28/2005 8:39:48 PM
I APPROVE THIS FUCKING THREAD!!!
10/28/2005 8:55:11 PM
Santana Moss is a baller alsoWould you really take Favre over Manning? Ok let me make a different comparison...McNair or Manning? Cause McNair has been to a Superbowl...but the point I was making is he is past his prime...I mean would you want Steve Smith or Jerry Rice RIGHT NOW in 2005?Smith has done it with no other receivers making significant plays...Proehl is the 2nd leading receiver...KC and RG havent done muchPlus the Panthers cant get their running game going...and Smith doesnt just catch deep outs at the 3 and run them in...he'll catch a screen pass, break a tackle and outrun 10 defenders and take it 70 yards to the house...thats ALL on Smith
10/28/2005 9:50:00 PM
10/28/2005 11:50:57 PM
Green Bay 1-5-0favre isnt practically winnin shit
10/28/2005 11:58:25 PM
Yes, they're coming very close to winning. You may be familiar with it, it's an affliction the Panthers suffered from last season.Fun statistic:On the season, when looking at points allowed against points given up, Green Bay is +26, Carolina is +12.[Edited on October 29, 2005 at 12:07 AM. 10/29/2005 12:02:05 AM
i get to go watch smitty ball out on Sunday
10/29/2005 12:13:15 AM
heres a better stat:panthers: 4-2you seem content with your team sucking it up for now. oh yeah, if you take away that one 52-3 game your little stat looks like shit
10/29/2005 12:21:05 AM
I'm content with my team sucking? What's that now?Fuck, at least we're not as bad as the 2004 Panthers yet.Or did all the "OH MY GOD THE PANTHERS ARE A SUPER BOWL TEAM" hype erase the brains of the fan base?[Edited on October 29, 2005 at 12:28 AM. Reason : .]
10/29/2005 12:27:46 AM
sorry, you are just totally coming off as a packer fanboy who is making retarded statements(Favre over Manning at this point, cmon and get off of brett's nuts) and yes, at this point of last season, the packers were just as bad as the 2004 Panthersi am very realistic about the panthers this season, i hope we can figure out a way to fix the running game, and get the other recievers involved. if this can happen, i think we are a lock for the playoffs

Manning is having an awesome season...defenses are dropping 6-7 guys into coverage every play so he's just handing the ball off to Edge 25 times a game...then when 3rd downs come up he's picking them up every freaking time...The Colts look better than ever this year
10/29/2005 10:19:53 AM
10/29/2005 11:03:11 AM
then how can you say steve smith is not an elite wr in the nfl? he is basically the ONLY offensive threat right now for the panthers, and he still manages to pull out big plays, lots of yards, and a bunch of TDs while facing double coverage and defenses geared to stop him(not to mention overcoming delhomme's off target passes). You may argue that since he is the only target that we utilize his stats are inflated, but any lesser WR wouldnt be able to do what he has done. In my opinion he should be mentioned along with the top 5 WRs in the NFL right now not only because of his athletic ability, but also because of how he is carrying the team.
10/29/2005 11:15:18 AM
Ferguson got injured last week cause Favre threw the ball 3 feet too high and hung him out to dry.Favre isn't on Manning's level right now.If Manning wanted to air it out on every play he could... he just knows thats not the way to win the most ball games. The Colts finally figured out they need homefield advantage, cause they cant hang 400 passing yards on the best team in the AFC on the road in January...Yes, Favre doesn't have many options right now other than gunslinging, but he still isnt among the top 5 QB's in the game right now. Palmer and Eli Manning have even eclipsed him... Favre has been abysmal in the playoffs for too long now to consider him an elite QB anymore. He's still got some magic left, but he's also error prone.

10/29/2005 1:55:28 PM
he's got me a shitton of fantasy points. 7 TDs baby and he's gonna get another 2 against Minnesota this week
10/29/2005 2:40:54 PM
150 yards and 1 TD at the half!!!!
