Im tired of looking all over for some good conversation about the bets going on during the week. This thread is for that. Lets talk about the games, the spreads, and what we think. I just want some good insight into some games by some people I kinda know. Not some strangers on some random board. Lets try to keep this going, it could be very good to those of us who do bet on sports. As of NOW, the good lines I see are....Falcons -6 vs SaintsNavy -12.5 vs Kent St.Oklahoma -7 vs KansasTexas Tech -15.5 vs Kansas StUGA -16.5 vs Vandy....I really want to take Vandy on this one, just because they alway play UGA tough at home, but being a lifelong Dawgs fan, I just cant....and we have Shockley. Dawgs win!UCLA -5.5 vs Washington State...come on, the #12 ranked team who is 5-0 vs a 3-2 conference foe....and after UCLAs win last week, this has to be the best sure win of the weekend. Auburn -7.5 vs Arkansas My other sure winner for the weekend. Just cant see the 4-1 tigers losing to the 2-3 Razorbacks by more than 8pts or more. WVU beating Lousville striaght up on the money line. WVU win no spread, which is +7. Moneyline bet[pays over 3-1 right now] At home, I think WV can pull off the upset to the overrrated LU team who lost to USF earlier in the year. Miami -41 vs Temple 41 pts is ALOT, but Temple is 0-6, and Miami is well....Miami.NY Giants +3.5 vs Cowboys.... I will take the NFLs highest scoring offense with points any day.Chargers -2.5 vs Raiders....Even Moss and the home field advantage can't offset Brees and TomlinsonThats what I have. Argue, chat, make your own suggestions.[Edited on October 14, 2005 at 10:28 PM. Reason : .]

good godset me up with a bookiei'll bet the fucking farm on the giants murdering that spread.
10/14/2005 10:39:50 PM
FSU -7 to UVA
10/14/2005 10:57:26 PM
^^I know man. There are just some insane spreads this weekend. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
10/14/2005 11:04:59 PM
carolina +1 at detroitjesus
10/14/2005 11:30:30 PM
Hell yeah, even that^! Its almost a joke what some of the lines are this week. Detroit SUCKS ass, and they are only -1 against a Panthers team who beat the Patriots. I will bet all I have on that one. Well not all......but ALOT!

a fool and his money...you should be betting over on the over/under for the USC/Notre Dame game. it's only 46 points, which I think is incredibly low. USC averages more than that by themselves every week, and the Notre Dame secondary is weak.the giants are going to lose their high scoring trend this weekend. UCLA always manages to lose to Washington St. for some reason when they shouldn't. West Virginia won't be able to keep up in a shootout with Louisville, and USF isn't as weak as you may make them out to be.I think Auburn will lose to Arkansas, but not by more than about 3 points or so.
10/14/2005 11:53:15 PM
^^Yeah, Miss posted that. I really dont see Auburn winning by less than 8pts

I think the lines I picked are going to turn out very well. But damn, its "gambling" I if I was right all the time I would be a millionaire in Vegas. Thats the point of this thread, to help us sports gamblers get there. AS far as the over unders, I dont do those, I have here and there, but as a whole, I never do. I prefer the points. Or the lack of said points.
10/15/2005 12:24:49 AM
San Diego -2.5 is going to be money...I wouldn't touch the Giants game, or the Falcons game (I would actually go with NO+6 in San Antonio to rebound from last weeks embarrassment)
10/15/2005 1:15:25 AM
Here are my small bets this weekend....Im feeling lucky UCLA -5.5 Auburn -7.5$10 pays $35 UTEP -7Alabama-14Oklahoma-7Texas Tech-15.5Cal-16Auburn-7.5$1.50 pays $63.06NY Giants winPanthers winFalcons-6Steelers -3Bucs-4Chargers-2.5$2.5pays $143Tide winOklahoma-7Nebraska winUCLA-5.5Auburn winFSU win$10pays $120Alabama winBC winOSU winNavy winOklahoma winTexas Tech win$5pays $17

http://www.sportsnetwork.com/default.asp?c=sportsnetwork&page=gaming/stat/NCAAFB-GMATCHUP-USC-NOTREDAME.htmthis link must be old, because it's listing the O/U at 44-46 across the board.
10/15/2005 10:12:20 AM
its not old as much as it is wrong. To be 25 points off the correct line is just bizarre. It it was 46, no one in thier right mind would hit the under
10/15/2005 10:44:42 AM
parlays are sucker bets...Car +1 @ Detroit surprises me... the panthers have played really poorly thus far but Detroit flat out stinks... i cant believe the line is there... i think its about right, but i cant believe the public isnt hammering Carolina
10/15/2005 12:46:11 PM
the detroit secondary is getting a lot of picks this year, and Delhomme still doesn't seem to be throwing anything with accuracy. I think that homefield advantage is going to make the Carolina offense that much worse, and for that reason the +1 is probably about right.
10/15/2005 1:19:56 PM
oh i agree im not taking the Panthersit just seems like the average joe would be like "carolina is good, detroit sucks let's take Carolina"
10/15/2005 1:53:52 PM
GG UCLA, way to fuck me so far vs god damn Washington State. You can beat CAL, and you are letting WSU run all over you. Game the fuck up Bruins
10/15/2005 7:25:10 PM
10/15/2005 7:26:32 PM
I figured the momentum from last weeks win over CAL would be enough to help them overcome the past losses to WSU
10/15/2005 7:32:36 PM
they were down in there last two games as well, scored 3 td's in the 4th quarter to beat Cal
10/15/2005 7:35:34 PM
28-7 WSU with 4:00 left in the 2nd. So much for my sure winner
10/15/2005 8:00:24 PM
all even over time need a ucla score and extra point and wash st to fuck up
10/15/2005 10:08:44 PM
phew. carolina had me thinking my money was in jeopardy for a second.

I did a teaser tonight (those are my favorites). It was really a no-brainer. Seattle had to win by 2 and they had to score more than 37.5 combined. I risked $120 to win $100, but I'll take that bet anyday.
10/16/2005 11:39:53 PM
Not too bad, I took Seattle -9 at -110. Who are you guys liking tonight on MNF? Indy is -13.5 and the o/u is 52.Im thinking taking the Colts and the under.
10/17/2005 5:05:28 PM
tough call tonight...but some early ones for this week I like:Virginia Tech -10.5 Maryland Michigan StateNorthwestern +13 South Carolina Vanderbilt +8 Texas A&M -2.5 Like this one big Kansas State Oregon -8Arizona Arizona St. -9.5 Stanford Boise St. -18.5Utah St.
10/17/2005 5:09:21 PM
OMG, this fuckin thread sucks!!!!!!!!!! MacGyver quit tryn to keep this bullshit going, the majority of posts are yours. now one wants to participate in this fucking dog shit you faggott!!
10/17/2005 5:09:28 PM
hard to gaugethe Colts are a running team first this year and thats the one thing STL doesnt suck at...If they open up the passing attack tonite they will blow the Rams out, but thus far theyve been content with running and letting their defense carry them. One thing is for sure, Freeney will cause big problems for Bulger and he will turn the ball over 2-3 times...I think Reggie Wayne catches 8-9 balls tonite and the colts win easily.... id be worried about laying 13.5 though cause of potential padders at the end. teams always seem to forge better comeback attempts on MNF
10/17/2005 5:10:57 PM
10/17/2005 5:14:48 PM
so, you're still a faggot you little bitch!!! and you have more posts than anyone else on this gay thread
10/17/2005 5:18:26 PM
I'm thinking of doing a teaser tonight and taking Indy at -6.5 and the over at 44.5. I don't feel super comfortable so I'm only gonna bet $50, but teasers are so great, because you could potentially pick any combination and still win. Hell, you could tease both scoring lines, the over, and the under and win them all.
10/17/2005 6:33:04 PM
LOL @ Panthers game
10/17/2005 6:38:18 PM
wow, I place a live bet during the game taking the Rams-3 and the very next play Bulger throws an INT and gets hurt Jesus fucking christ
10/17/2005 10:00:41 PM
Looking ahead to next week, I see some really juicy teasers.Pittsburgh/Cincy: Over 36San Diego +11 against PhillyKansas City +9 against MiamiWashington -5.5 against San FransiscoWashington/San Fran: Over 30Dallas/Seattle: Over 38.5Tennessee/Arizona: Over 38Denver/NYG: Over 40Falcons/Jets: Over 33.5PS: I NEVER bet the under.
10/18/2005 12:22:49 AM
10/25/2005 6:53:30 PM
Feeble, what kind of teaser do you normally do?doesnt a two team teaser pay like 10/11?
10/25/2005 7:07:47 PM
I do 7 point teasers, which don't pay quite as good as the 6 or 6.5 point ones (of course).
10/25/2005 9:04:35 PM
11/2/2005 8:46:35 PM
THE U at +6.5 looks might good to me. However, they are playing against a Vick, so who knows.
11/4/2005 11:59:05 PM
11/10/2005 7:23:09 PM
I took the teaser as well. Actually got Fresno -2, Over 54. I might see if I can tease once more right before game time. Might get it down to a pick.
11/10/2005 7:27:08 PM
FSU -2.5over 56 for me
11/10/2005 7:34:24 PM
I couldnt resist.. I had to go againFSU- 1.5 O55
11/10/2005 7:57:56 PM
good start so far, looks like a shootout for sure
11/10/2005 8:05:24 PM
I'm 2-0 so far this week. West Virginia and Fresno State have put me up about $250.I'm not going to share all my picks for free, but I like South Florida, Florida State and Texas A&M.It's a great weekend for taking the points. Northwestern getting 18.5, Cal getting 18.5 at home and Kansas, who has one of the best defenses in the nation, is +34 against Texas. It's gonna be another settle-up weekend.
11/11/2005 2:58:04 AM
