Ok so I saw most of tonight's new episode and I figured someone out there must also like/love this show so if someone could give me the lowdown on like the last 5 minutes I would appreciate it...basically from the time Richard Gilmore marched back into the event all pissy would be wonderful My DVR messed up my recording so I missed it

I'll fill you in So Richard marched back into the room straight to Emily and proceeds to say "It's true. Everything Lorelai said about Rory quitting Yale is true. The Huntzbergers were awful to her, Mitchum devasted her, the wife was compeletely rude at the dinner." blah blah blahSo Emily goes to move Mrs Huntzberger to move her to a better table (since she was put at the "slush" table), and proceeds to give her this little chat about how the Gilmore money and family status is just as good as the Huntzbergers; and to remind Mrs H about how she was lucky just to "bag" Mitchum and get out of the trailer park (basically). It was quite a smart ending, I was proud of Emily. It was a great scene, sorry you missed it. Previews for next week - I only caught a bit of it - were talking about Rory and Logan and marriage. Don't know what that will exactly be about!
10/12/2005 9:36:32 PM
After Emily got done talking to Richard she gave "that look". TennisAngel and I knew that someone was about to get pwnt!
10/12/2005 10:53:33 PM
when emily went off on Mrs Huntzberger i was all like, "OH SNAP"and then i was all like, "errr uhhh sooo what the hell this isnt espn. im going to cook some red meat"
10/12/2005 11:15:52 PM

10/13/2005 11:55:30 AM
my mother refuses to watch sin city because she can't stand to see rory as a whore
10/13/2005 12:58:35 PM
ive seen that show a few times w/ my gf, and the mom is hot as hell
10/13/2005 5:23:23 PM
thank you dotyoureyes I saw the Emily thing and didn't know what happened after she chewed Mrs H out so thanks I love this show [Edited on October 13, 2005 at 6:16 PM. Reason : s]
10/13/2005 6:15:16 PM
id have sex with rory nowand her mom
10/13/2005 9:41:23 PM
Rory looked 10x hotter with short, straight hair. And she was smokin' hot in Sin City.
10/14/2005 12:13:08 AM
i love this show...i am afraid rory is going to be pregnant...though that would be a BIT too obvious...though it is on the WB
10/14/2005 8:26:39 PM
i thought she and paris were hot dressed in the USO outfits. Lorilei is hot too.

10/15/2005 6:54:26 AM
what was in the preview for next week???my dvr box screwed up and i missed it
10/18/2005 9:02:24 PM
It's Rorys 21st birthday party... everything is all planned but shes all upset because Lorelei and Rory had been planning her birthday party forever. In the final shot of the preview it showed Lorelei walking into Rory's huge party... that's all they showed.
10/18/2005 9:44:35 PM
oh okay, thank you very much
10/19/2005 9:35:35 AM
i wonder if richard wants to talk to lorelei 'cause he's finally realizing that the brilliant apple of his eye is becoming a little DAR stepford drone... man, i hope so.
10/19/2005 10:34:12 AM
I think Rory is knocked up.
10/19/2005 2:42:24 PM
^ I think that's more of what they WANT viewers to think, and less of a fact. Personally, I'm still boggled by what Richard Gilmore's ending view of Rory speaking on stage at the DAR thing meant. I can't tell if he's still astonished by what Mitchum & the rest of the Hunsberger's (sp?) did to Rory that night, or whether he's thinking that she's wasting her life and getting off track and he sees her potential, or maybe he even sees that Mitchum was right? It was brought up at the end of last week's episode, and again this week... anyone have any thoughts?I was actually fairly disappointed by this week's episode... the previews had left so much more to be expected... and everything that they alluded to in the previews was completely off.(btw... do burken (sp) bags really exist? and is there something particularly symbolic about them? or are they just a highly desirable over priced bag?)
10/20/2005 12:01:57 AM
yeah i was really disappointed with this week's episode too. they made it look soo good in the preview. i didn't catch the "we want you to think rory's knocked up" thing at all. oopsi had a hard time believing that rory would really get that involved w/ the DAR stuff but i guess i could understand if she thinks that'll make logan's family like her more.
10/20/2005 12:10:13 AM
I don't think Rory got into the DAR thing for any reason other than it gave her something to do. It was a challenge... and challenge is exactly what drives Rory to do her best work. At this point, Rory doesn't give a damn what Logan's family thinks. (You can definitely tell that by her utter disgust with and placement of Logan's mother at the worst table in the house.) I think that some inference had to be made about "Rory being knocked up"... Because of her mother's past and her grandparents having gone through her dwelling... somehow it might be a logical explanation for her grandfather's visit to see Lorelai. Obviously it must be something big... C'mon... someone else must have some insight. (I can't tell if next week's 21st birthday looks interesting, or like another "awkward Rory & Lorelai together" episode...)
10/20/2005 2:37:14 AM
I wasn't as disappointed with the episode as much as I was the promo hyping some kind of scandal. There was no "big secret". Not even the intentions of Rory and Logan could be considered that big of a deal. I agree that Richard's look two episodes ago was quite puzzling. Maybe it was a look questioning why Rory has become so comfortable abandoning all of her dreams (or at least appearing to have).
10/20/2005 7:50:01 AM
i missed it tuesday, what happened?
10/20/2005 7:53:40 AM
10/20/2005 10:55:04 AM
tonight, great, Richard is scared his granddaughter is going to grow up to be just like his wife, haha.
10/25/2005 9:05:44 PM
Jess is coming back!!! I didn't see that coming.
10/25/2005 9:20:01 PM
Neither did I! (Ok... I still think Logan is better for RORY!) Hmm... does anyone else think that maybe Luke has something to do with Jess coming back to talk sense into Rory? Or is he doing it all on his own accord? I think Paris becoming Editor of the Yale paper hit Rory right in the heart... maybe it'll get her back to school.
10/25/2005 10:22:30 PM
so i missed it tonight bc i was studyingcan someone give me a brief summary of what i missed?
10/25/2005 10:31:35 PM
I think this is just a token..jess comes back and screws with Rory and leaves..like last time it made her and dean break up then he left again and she gets logan..yeah, paris getting editor hit Rory hard...but the scene with the minister was funny "that ship is in Fiji by now"
10/25/2005 11:45:55 PM
10/29/2005 1:09:06 AM
^TennisAngel told me that too about him only coming back if he died. But having an episode where he A. Comes back, B. Confronts Rory about her changes, C. Causes trouble with Logan (which is totally his style), D. Dies wouldbe waaaaaay too much drama for one episode of Gilmore Girls. Also I was informed that Rory and Jess are dating in real life but they didn't start until after he "left" the show.
10/30/2005 11:09:55 AM
i think they need to bring jess back 'cause he's the only one harsh enough to tell her she's on her way to spoiled DAR soccer mom-dom. they should kill him off though. i mean, i like jess and all, but jesus christ, how many times is he gonna do the whole 'blow back into town' thing. i have to work this tuesday night.
10/31/2005 9:52:41 AM
A character death would be pretty rough. The only thing to die on the show thus far was Cinnamon. If I had the show to write then Rory would face reality, get back into school, tell Logan's dad to screw himself, get back into journalism, make up with her mom, break up with Logan (although I haven't yet thought of how to do that), and fix things with Dean (that who thing still pisses me off ).
10/31/2005 3:13:56 PM
dude Dean is a jealous, possessive douchebag. Logan is way better.
10/31/2005 3:37:26 PM
whatever happened to that naked guy who was in love with her.
10/31/2005 3:54:25 PM
Marty! He kinda dissappeared after Logan showed up.
10/31/2005 4:00:37 PM
i have a theory that rory and marty will eventually end up together.and dean was lame. oh, and cinnamon isn't the only show fatality. the lady who owned the bakery and the dragonfly died, that's how lorelei and suki got the place.
10/31/2005 4:53:17 PM
Ahh, right I missed that one. I guess I remember it because they made a big deal about Cinnamon.I guess I am stuck wanting Dean and Rory to end up together because it's what was established from the first episode. Like Loralei and Luke. Come on, what would people think if they didn't end up being together?
11/1/2005 1:45:48 PM
It's a rerun tonight
11/1/2005 2:12:07 PM
Ugh. With Lost also being a re-run there isn't much tv I'll be watching this week.
