10/13/2005 11:55:06 PM
its a parody of the oriely showi view the factor as unintentional humor, so the colbert show will be good for people like me
10/14/2005 12:00:02 AM
If he cuts someone's mic I'll crap myself.

Damn.Why Stone Phillips?
10/17/2005 11:45:20 PM
The interview was a little weak--I don't want this to be just another Daily Show...
10/17/2005 11:50:46 PM
really weakHe switched from insanely hilarious O'Reilly impression to not so funny Jon Stewart impression[Edited on October 18, 2005 at 12:02 AM. Reason : ,]

oreily was like, hey, stewart, i hear you got some french dude making fun of me after your show tonight?
10/19/2005 7:35:29 AM
here's o'reilly and stewarthttp://www.crooksandliars.com/2005/10/18.html#a5443i REALLY hope stewart didn't let o'reilly just talk and didn't let him run the interview like he did with dennis miller. i'm 'bout to watchStewart: It's true we add insult to injury....but you add the injury"Bill: There's alot of bad people out there and it's our job to go after them.Stewart: So when are you going to start?[Edited on October 19, 2005 at 8:37 AM. it was a funny interview
10/19/2005 8:40:57 AM
HAHAH oh man, good shithe calls france "our enemies"
10/19/2005 8:41:51 AM
it was pretty funny.o'reilly's a blowhard. that's why he has a hardon for the french.i almost spit water out when stewart said france was like marcy from peanuts. just didn't matter, we should be going after LUCY.i don't hate the french, i just see their country as having lost its influence politically and they desperately try to make themselves matter, but can't.[Edited on October 19, 2005 at 10:26 AM. Colbert Report is all of the aspects of the Daily Show that I didn't need to see spun off.I'll continue to change the channel at 11:30pm to PBS and get the best interviews on tv from Charlie Rose.

i like his "the word" segment at the beginning - kinda reminds me of kevin nealon's subliminal messages.but i doubt this show will have much staying power. it will be funny for a little while, and then it will get old.
10/20/2005 8:31:07 AM
10/20/2005 8:39:49 AM
it was alright to me, but was a little much. note, colbert was my fav from the daily show."but arent centrists just people who dont have enough balls to be a fanatic?"
10/20/2005 10:18:16 AM
from seeing only one episode so far, I don't think he can keep it up. This could be maybe a weekly show, but I think they will be very hard pressed to maintain his "character" for a nightly show. The Daily Show can last because Jon get's to "play himself". Colbert is playing a character and is a compilation of all sorts of radio and TV personalities - i think it will catch up to them before long and it will start to fade. btw - is http://www.colbertnation.com/colbertnation/ supposed to be a rip-off/parody of some other particular site? I know the show and therefore the website should be considered jokes, and the website is made out to make him look like a pompous, egotistical maniac, but apart from all that - the site just sucks. It looks like it was made in 1998.... is that part of the joke?

10/20/2005 11:12:37 AM
^ oh yeah, speaking of the Georgia interview - was that an old Daily Show interview? It didn't seem new or like it was recorded for the Colbert Report
10/20/2005 11:14:23 AM
now it would be awesome if they could eventually do a profile of every single congressional district like they did for that one. but that would take years...
10/20/2005 11:59:46 AM
10/20/2005 3:55:18 PM
I think they should just bring back something that looks exactly like "politically incorrect" to comedy central and make Colbert the host.[Edited on October 20, 2005 at 4:01 PM. Reason : ]
10/20/2005 4:00:38 PM
^^ i don't think o'reilly's actinghe really is a blowhard.
10/20/2005 4:14:00 PM
it was disappointing. i didn't like it that much.
10/20/2005 5:27:56 PM
11/14/2005 3:38:45 AM
It gets a little old watching him raise his hands moving from the desk to the guest while ppl clap, yet the cheesy patrioticness does have the potential to crack me up at times.
11/14/2005 4:16:34 AM
^You're on notice.

2/1/2006 11:55:28 PM
yea i think he must be a writter for the show
2/2/2006 12:00:58 AM
seriouslydudethe show is not THAT GREATi've never seen someone on the nutsack of a show more than you w/ colbert report and lostjesus
2/2/2006 5:33:06 AM
no, it is great. And the fact that he pulls it off while in character, practically by himself, night after night makes it even better. I was thinking of how much face-time Colbert gets every show compared to, for example, the Daily Show. Colbert doesn't have any correspondents to do side-stories or to do fake analysis. He does the entire show, in character, by himself, and few of his jokes fall flat - TDS self admittedly has several jokes a night that just don't work, and jon stewart has the support of a full cast of fake news people (who seem to be going down hill quickly now that Colbert and Carrell are gone....).
2/2/2006 6:33:31 AM
no shit, do you know how hard it is for him to do that every single day? there's an interview with him, at the very first week of the show I Think, talking about how difficult it is and how they're going to try and reduce his face time somehow... but here he is, several months in, still doing it. and it's FUNNIER than it was at first.
2/2/2006 7:22:36 AM
i actually like the colbert report more then the daily show. ( i think the daily show isnt as good as it used to be....as agentlion pointed out)colbert is more over the top, and is more random (which i like)
